APS Tactical AK47

I am thinking of getting this to complete my AK build and i would like to know if the externals are good. Its the newer and i heard that the new Hybrid Gearbox is great, but yet there last model before that was just shitty. Also i would like to know if theres property parts then just the spring guide. Since I'll be putting some TM compatible parts in it. Here's a link http://www.torontoairsoft.com/APS-AK...dy_p_3287.html

APS is generally pretty poor quality. People know APS as a certain abbreviation...

Here's a review of just how great APS rifles are: http://www.red-alliance.net/forum/in...?topic=17071.0

After reading that, you'd have to be crazy to buy one of these rifles...

It wasn't THAT bad, I mean, it did kind of survive the Spetsnaz roll you did when you tripped...

That's cause I had a CYMA stock catch, and mechbox. APS stock catch actually broke at home leaving my stock unable to be locked in the unfolded position.

The receiver trunion fractured from the landing and now the stock is super wobbly. The Steel is thin as hell and is easily dented bent. Mechbox was a P.O.S that I just tossed out.

Its good at throwing at people rofl...

Seriously, Styrak said everyone should know it's true abbreviation. I work countless of APS older generation and I would not give their second or whatever generation even a try.

I see what you're saying but i looked in it a little and the gun was better then it was before, when the were just pure shit and gived them to javelin. Since then they there getting better. I wanted to know if it is worth it to get one up to date. I am aware that they have been in the airsoft market for about 3-4 years, but the new Hybrid gearbox is quite new and by the looks of it, its solid. Am not looking for a review in 2010-2011, i know they were crap. Am looking for a up to date review.

Okay, let me rephrase.

You either follow what people here are answering you.

Or you don't ask the question, and do whatever the f*** you want.

Get a cyma if you want a cheap AK.
If you want to run a shitty AK, why should I care?

Good God, they're awful. Please listen to these nice men and avoid at all costs.

The rolled steel AK bodies are almost totally sweet except that all of the buttons, switches, clasps, screws, rivets and thingamajigs are absolute garbage.
This is before we even get into the awful (though pretty) internals and the cursed wiring which likes to develop ghosts for no goddamn reason. QC from the factory is terrible. The wood kits are sometimes beautiful.

I even tried to un-fuck one once. I thought "Naaah, they can't possibly be that bad plus I know what I'm doing!". Well, I did but I didn't. I built a great gearbox from the ground-up that ran like stink, but the rest of the gun literally fell apart in my hands over the course of a few re-assemblies and a handful of games.

TL/DR:
Really expensive wall hangers, can't be trusted like cheating spouse, impossible to get rid of like herpes
Seriously dude buy a CYMA.

Edit:
I've seen more recent lines and run inspection for an employer. They're still awful. The demo guns sent out by APS as promotional material to say "Sorry for all of that money you lost on our last product lineup" were lemons and failed out-of-box or shortly after. The problem isn't with their engineering or lineup, it's that their tooling, and materials composition in particular. There are better companies to share your money with.

Here's your answer, since you can't seem to figure it out:

NO. You should not get one.
