Tight bore/hop up combo opinons
I'm trying to find a 340mm tight bore for my VFC sr15 (10.5 inch combat master). Searching through google has proved not very useful, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions?
Also wondering about what most peoples preferred hop up rubber/bucking brand is? I believe when my sr15 arrives it will be shooting somewhere between 330-400 fps, but each website and reviewer seems to provide a different fps rating. Thanks |

best option would probably be to measure the length of the barrel when it arrives, and go from there. you're probably going to be stuck with getting a 300mm barrel though.
FPS is going to be whatever the hell it wants to be, it's up to you to fix it. as far as barrel group recommendations go: prommy 6.03 & r-hop.

Yeah 340 is an odd length 363 is what most m4's have so wait for the gun to come measure whats in it try and see where it ends in the outer and youll see what you can fit in it. You could also buy a 1 inch extension for the outer if you need a lil more room. Hop rubbers are endless im choices i like the promy smooth rubber with a bridge nub (tensioner they call it) but id wait to check the fps to choose a rubber but u camt really go wrong with a 60° itll not be too hard or soft for most setups or go rhop if your handy enough to install it

Mine came shooting hot at 450FPS. Comes stock with a really soft rubber and a plastic transparent hop unit. (I managed to shred my rubber while testing with heavy rounds).
Currently using a G&P hop unit with a PDI-Whold rubber. I wont be swapping out my barrel yet, I have found tightbores to be only marginally better against stock VFC.

Do you happen to use midcaps in the VFC? What brands have worked for you? I really don't like the plastic MAG mid caps, been looking around for some decent metal mids. |
