second gearboxe

Hi have a g36c from TM,
I would like to be able to switch quickly from a 340-350 fps to a 380-400fps range.
This modele is not ''quick change'' so I was thinking having 2 full gearbox and swaping them before game.
my question:
this v3 gearbox is not for g36 (I think a ak...) but I was wandering if it could still be use once I remove the small gear at the back

You'll have to change the trigger, motor cage, nozzle and selector plate. And then, yes.
(probably forgot a part... I'm sure someone will correct me)

removable flange for the rear screw, the bit infront of the trigger for the front mechbox pin, and you'll have to rewire it.
So no, you couldn't use an AK mechbox

thanks,
so I guess either I build one from parts starting with
http://airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/produ...oducts_id=1787
or get a second gun.

Doesn't even come with the bits you need lol
Try finding a complete G36 mechbox, and there are other retailers than airsoftdepot you could look at

I know a second riffle would be about the same price, But with second gearbox if my wife look around the basement, she does'nt see a bunch of expensive toys,
But a bunch of parts I got to save money on my only gun.

Seriously, since I want to upgrade the barrel, the hob and a couple of accessory, I might as well use only one frame

Not really tho. If you think about it it will be cheaper to just buy the JG and put a tight bore in each one.
Especially if you consider how quickly you will break something constantly swapping the gear box in and out itll just be a matter of time befor you break something on the body and need to replace it.
Or on another note you could just buy a short inner barrel and a longer one and a silencer and swap back n forth between just those for indoor outdoor.
In all reality going from 350-400 fps you are not going to notice a whole heap of difference performance wise makn thing would be with 350 use. 28 max with 400 use. 30 thats about it.
If you wanted to do something that would be more usefull id keep the 350 for most uses then build a 280-320 fps gearbox with a killer rate of fire for indoor that would give you more "advantage" then having an extra 50fps.
Especially if you consider you may wind up building 2 gearboxes one that shoots 355 and one that shoots 380 youll wind up with baisically the same gun each time you swap the boxes back n forth.
Just something to think about.
Also try talkin to the wife say look i can build a gearbox for 150-200 bucks and then have a high risk of breakin something on the gun that id need to replace or i can just buy another gun for 180-200 bucks and not worry bout bustin somethin and spending more money.
Then you can buy tightbores and such at a later time. The stock tm barrel 6.08 or whatever they are perform just as good and sometimes beter then alot of tightbore barrels on the market just because they have a more consistant bore then alot of tightbores.
Unless you go say PDI or EdGI or some other 80-100 doller barrel
I find madbull tightbores kinda suck the "new" version are a lil beter but still not great and dont waste yer money on angry gun or other crap youd do beter stickin a McDonalds straw in there

You will need the following parts to make any ak v3 into a g36 v3

mechanical safety
selector plate
physical trigger assembly
motor cage
nozzle

Some of the parts are hard to get... like the trigger and safety.
The motor cage can be tricky, I bought one meant for a g36, but it does not fit in my lower receiver.

Quite honestly, after tracking down the parts after shipping, you'll be close to the price of a new JG g36, especially if you want a reasonable quality gearbox.

there are vendors that sell the complete JG g36 gearbox, and that's probably the one to be getting if you can find it. It will have 7mm bushings/bearings.
