Hello Airsoft Canada
Hello everyone I just wanted to know one thing really is there any place that a 17 year old can play Airsoft? I have a group of friends that all want to start playing in some real games. In our group of guys the age group is about 17 to 19 (me being one of the 17 year old guys) we have all played Airsoft with teams of five out in some woods but that was just us making the game now we want to start playing for real.

Where are you located? There's some respectable fields that sometimes allow 16+ to play. Sometimes they require you to be accompanied by your parents or something.

What notable city are you in/near? Like, are you near Kingston?
How far are you guys willing to travel? Are you willing to go all the way to Toronto? |

There is a sizeable group in the trenton area and at least one field within a short distance. Keep your eye on the events section and you'll eventually catch it popping up.

My cousin's a full colonel at trenton.I'm in the same situation (minus the being under 19 part) and the big courses are kind of out of the way. You should be willing to travel quite a distance for some real outdoor combat as I've found out but from what I've heard they're epic and are most definitely worth the trek dude. Check http://airsoftcanada.com/forumdisplay.php?f=68 I hope that helps.

It may suck but everybody in this community has done it. Gives you time to save up and research up on it.

I live by the airbase in trenton as well , There are games within a 40 minute drive, in Belleville, in Trenton, in Picton and at a private field in the County. Get back to us after your 18 and we will help you out. Now for some advice and this is just my opinion Your last post about ASC being a "nice" place came off as an attempt to school (or lecture or scold) full grown men- Don't piss people off then ask them for help.

I don't want to be the party crasher but:

Brendan, just so you understand (and in no way I want to sound mean or anything), the fact that airsoft guns looks 100% like real guns to the mundanes, it's generally a very bad idea to exhibit said devices in "some woods". Then again I don't know what "some woods" means to you so maybe there's nothing to it but better be safe than sorry... When you play, make sure to do so with good safety measures (make sure to have AT LEAST good goggles, rated for high-speed impact or of ballistic grade; want to be sure? use full on paintball mask if in doubt) But more importantly, make sure to do so on a field you have permission to be (nothing owned by some guy, or the city, or the gouvernement, unless you have written permission to do *airsoft* activity there). But also one that you are 1000% sure that no other people unaware of your activities could wander and have some panic attack, call the cops and that one of you guys get shot at... by a .40 or 9mm glock handled by an emergency task force officer. I'm sure you understand how this could ruin your game... And if you are wondering why a lot of people here jump the gun (no pun intended) and sounds often aggressive or harsh toward underage wanting to or playing airsoft, it's because of those kind a "mistakes"; Accidents happened in the past, will still happens, but the idea is to try and lessen the odds. |
