WE G17 hop up
I have a WE G17 and the hop up does not put any back spin on the BB even when maxed out. Anyone have/seen this problem and know an easy fix?
Thanks. |

Perhaps the hop up arm is not touching the BB when it leaves the barrel. You could try adding a small piece of paper in between the hop up rubber and the hop up arm to act as a spacer.
When I put a TM hop up in my WE gun, I had to do that because the TM hop up rubber is ever so slightly smaller than the WE part. As a result, the hop up stopped working and BBs rolled out of the barrel because nothing was holding the bbs in. I would have to turn the hop up on full to get it to function. I fixed it with a small square of paper to put a little bit more pressure on the BB when in the barrel. Hope it helps Jordan

I have the we g17, and I had the exact same problem. There are two issues. The first is that the hop up rubber slips through the arm. I fixed this by cutting a small piece of plastic straw and adjusted the ends to make it fit. You have to file down the ends so that there are no other protrusions aside from the center nub. http://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/...d/P1070961.jpg The second issues is that if the slide does not come forward all the way after a cycle, the slide will not work. basically you have to make the spring stronger and I did this by adding o rings.
