GBB : KWA KP45 vs KJW P226

As the title say, I'm hesitating between those two GBB pistol...

I'm aware that the KP45 is far superior that the KJW sig in term of internals and assembly but I found the P226 totally gorgeous. Oh, and I'm talking of the full black/metal ones, not the clearsoft ones.

I would like to hear for peoples that has owned those and tested is... and know how to correctly maintain it (mostly all review that I can find is either "omg this pistol is super reliable... I'm gonna test-fire it for the first time soon" or "this pistol is pure crap, even if I use top-grade virgin olive oil to lube it" ... if you see what I mean )

Main question : ok the KWA is superior but... as a backup weapon that I will nearly never use... is it more satisfying to pick something that you feel good with it rather than pure performance ?

No, no TM version... those two brands are easier (or more "legal" if we can say that hum...) to find for me.

Thanks !

KWA/KSC also makes sigs...
personally, I think KJW sigs are garbage, I got a used one, and the barrel snapped in half the second day, then at a game a few weeks back a guy had a brand new one and again, same thing, barrel snapped in two

Seriously ? the inner barrel broke in half.. omg...
Strange enought, the KWA and KJW clearsoft guns are the same price, I don't understand...

The main point is that it's hard to get any black pistol YET from known stores (the only one I know is Chix Airsoft Co.) and they are mainly kjw ones...

Ah, damn.

The KJW P226 is a decent gun, very good price for a full metal P226.

get KWA more FPS than the KJW p226. both externals are great. I prefer system 7 / NS2 system on KWA's that's why I rather have KWA.

KJW's are TM compatible though, so if you need replacement parts the aftermarket has stuff.

I'm not sure if KWA is compatible with anything.

ya you're right... You have more options with after market parts with KJW than KSC/KWA

KJW is MOSTLY TM compatible. I was looking into one a while back that had been upgraded with a bunch of aftermarket TM stuff. I remember someone told me what was and wasn't compatible, but I can't remember exactly what now.

Now, out of the box, the KWA is probably a better gun

But for all intents and purposes, you can easily find most replacement and upgrade parts fairly easily for a KJW whereas KWA parts will be harder to come by. They're also compatible with TM mags which are easy to come by. KWA are all proprietary and are compatible with nothing else.

Either is a good choice really. Depends on how much you want to spend initially and how much you want to upgrade.

I can't vouch for KWA / KSC guns...

But I've shot 5 different KJW Sigs and I didn't like a single one of them (all ranging from Stock, to TM fixed, to full after market overhauls). Something about them just isn't... good, in my books.

Try before you buy if you can.

My KJW 226 is still going strong... more than 2000 rounds through it...I had a bad experience with my KWA M9 that put me off KWAs...not to mention those PTP mags were fuckin expensive

I own a KWA ptp sig p226 and it is gorgeous. It is full metal except for the outer barrel which from what I read at KWAUSA is to minimize wear on the metal slide. I personally like the aesthetics of the KWA sig mags over TM/KJW because I see more real p226R's with the thin metal plate as opposed to the thicker bumper on TM. The real deal-maker is that you can pretty much get most of the replacement parts you need from KWAUSA and I have gotten some parts that I think will wear from them. So far, I have replaced the slide stop once and it has been going for almost two years for me know. It is my go-to stress and field gun. I don't abuse it but it don't pamper it nearly as much as my TM's, KSC's, and WA's because it can take the rougher handling.

The con's are of course the lack of aftermarket parts for it. But that's why I have a Hi capa

Outer barrel, not inner barrel.
