Does SCS work with Systema Energy rubber?
So does the Shredders concave spacer work well with systema energy rubber? I'd say it'd be OK becuase the rubber isnt nibbed. But Would the thickness of the rubber interfere with the SCS shape?
If so, whats the BEST rubber to use with the SCS? Also a few random questions i would sincerely appreciate being answered: what lube should be used on piston side rails? I used to use gear grease, but i find its getting on the cylinder...Should I just use piston grease? Whats the best method of inserting the rubber+ barrel into the hopup unit? I find that its really hard to PERFECTLY center the hopup rubber within the barrel slot, once its in the unit. |

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

Word is guarder clear and ARS
piston grease is correct And the last answer is similar to what I did to Rob's mom last night; Put the rubber on the barrel, put a bit of lube on it, and ease it in slowly |

what barrel are you putting it on. I've recently had issues with the Guarder clear and the Madbull Python tight bores. clears were great at the beginning but then got loose and tore. switched to the madbull blue with SCS and bob's your uncle!
also for the install, instead of using lube, you can use spit. so unlike TC, I'd put the rubber on the barrel, spit on the rubber and slowly push it in, then you can do as you please with Rob's mom! |

Im using prometheus ASH barrel...the edges didnt seem too sharp. Might file them a tiny bit though
So madbull blue is less tear resistant? and is thin enough to conform to SCS? Might try that then Is there any method of keeping the barrel perfectly aligned in the hopup? even with clamp and ring on I can still turn it with some force... lol at the referances...should've expected that asking about barrels and lube |

ARS airseal rubber, and don't use silicon lube on the rubber, use a bit of spit or a TINY bit of foaming hand soap.

Sorry forgot to clarify. MB tight bores with clears don't work because the barrel's OD is smaller and the guarder clear sits very loose. Prone to tears and then causes jams. But since you're not using a MB tb you can disregard.

Depends on your Velocity limits and your gun setup. If you are <350 guarder clear, >400 prommy either soft or hard, ARS they last far longer than the guarder clear. They are only 3.99 but I stopped using them when the SCS was ripping them

Thanks for the advice guys,
I tried SCS with systema ENERGY rubber and its pretty horrible....shots are going everywhere...BTW I shimmed the edges of the scs with cloth tape so its very secure in the barrel slot. So the general consensus is madbull blue or ARS? Im running M110 spring with a half port MP5k piston with 144mm barrel Dont have a chrono but i assume around 300-350 fps? Which do you think would be best for tightest groupings? |

I've used scs for awhile now with around 5 different rubbers (can't say I've use gaurder). All I'd recommend, regardless of the setup,is to not turn your hopup dial on the way on. This would release some stress on the rubber.

Since your shooting through a Prometheus, which averages ~8.53mm OD you have many choices for a packing. You can use a softer packing for highly polished bb's or you can use a harder packing for a rougher bb. This also depends on how tight your hop-up unit is. Not a loose one is it where it backs off easily is it? In my .28 AEG setup, I am using a Prometheus Soft (Purple) with BB Kings. It is a coarser finished bb. Accuracy is very consistent at 40 feet, I can hit a 2" diameter sapling with every shot. |
