ICS M4A1 or VFC SOPMOD M4?

So I'm getting back into the sport and need to replace my M4 that I sold. I've done a ton of reading on both guns and need to know from owners of these what in there mind is the best buy between the two.

Without a question the VFC SOPMOD M4. I did the exact same comparison myself and chose the VFC. Everything about the VFC guns impresses me... now it just needs to get here (hopefully before aug 8th... I'd really like to use my own gear)!

VFC are considered one of the best, if not the best, airsoft guns on the market. Get VFC

VFC makes excellent SCARs and have a very good reputation with a few other models. Their use of propriatary parts however, is a bit obnoxious.

I would not call VFC one of the best, however they are better in terms of quality and QC than CA and TM, but not as good as RS or PTW's.

Some of VFC's WW2 stuff look pretty nice.

As for the OP's question.
What kind of ICS are we talking about? The Cansoft crap? or the split mechbox design?

^ Split mechbox full metal. I heard there a little better in terms of quality than the plastic TM's or CA's.

ICS is about 80% hit...

When the gun works, it is amazing.

But if you get one that is not working, it sucks.

Most fixes are easy to do. But personally I prefer not to have to change anything to have the gun work (though I always change some things).

If you want to get only one gun, ICS it is then. You can build a good lower with high quality parts, and then get as many uppers as you want. You can have a M4CQB-R for winter, shooting 345 fps, and an SPR shooting 399 for summer, with only two pins.
