So a while ago I got bought an RIS on sale. It was supposed to be a 16.25" monster of a thing and I was gonna save it and build some sort of M-16 pseudo-sniper later but it came as a 12" and I rather like it so I decided to keep it. Problem is it seems it be a rather large hassle to take my M-16's front sight triangle off and I'm unsure if I could put it back on. So instead I am hoping I can instead just replace the outer barrel with one that will work better then throw a suppressor on the end and have an even more fun look.
The thing is I tried to fit this 12" rail to my stock G&G CQB-S and the outer barrel has a slanty bit at the base of the outer barrel which prevents the screw on inner bit of the RIS from going on. My stock G&G M-16's outer barrel does not have this collar though. Will this slanty bit that gets in the way cause me problems?
The RIS I have is a "K4B-A3 Tactical Rail F7R" if that makes any sense. I was looking at a specific 10.5" outer barrel from airsoftparts.ca (Links at the bottom of this post.) cause it would let the suppressor I want sit just in the front of the RIS but I don't want to order a new barrel that won't work. Can anyone confirm if it will work for me?
