I have only saw one picture showing a Marines with such vest.
Thanks for your help guys!

If you have some money to burn and want something relatively close to an MTV:

Naw that'll be fine, I have built an OIF kit for my collection, I then built a current kit (CB IBA). I'm now moving on to finish a Nam kit now.

Oh and Drake... I hate you but I found some Spartan I for way cheaper

Well I thought I'd keep my thread alive!

For all those looking for Marines kit here's a basic kitlist through different stages of OIF, I'm also only listing the regular grunts kit as I have no great interest in Force Recon

OIF I 2003:

Uniform: 3 colors desert cammies / desert marpat (although all the invasion was done in MOPP suit, no one should be stupid enough to play a game in this)
Helmet: PASGT or LWH (rarer) w/ 3 colors desert cover or desert marpat cover
Body armor: Woodland or CB IBA
Load carrying Equipment: FLC loaded with mix'n'match of ALICE and SDS woodland pouches
Boots: Tan Altama or Belleville 550 ST
Goggles: SWD w/ socks sleeve
Pistol holster: Really though to say if one was an absolute standard... M12, M12 w/ hip extender, privately bought drop leg
Gloves: Cold weather glove liner (od), pilot flight gloves
Weapons: M16A2, M16A4, SAW MKII, M9
Misc: M40 gas mask bag could be used as a dump mag, an old PASGT 3 color desert cover was sometimes layered over woodland IBA to obviously suit them better for desert use

OIF II: Fallujah insurgency 2004

Uniform: desert marpat
Helmet: PASGT (rarer) or LWH w/ desert marpat cover
Body armor: Woodland or CB IBA
Load carrying Equipment: FLC loaded with mix'n'match of ALICE and SDS woodland pouches (by then most grunt wore pouches on the IBA)
Boots: Belleville 550 ST
Goggles: ESS Profile (black)
Pistol holster: Really though to say if one was an absolute standard... M12, M12 w/ hip extender, privately bought drop leg
Gloves: pilot flight gloves, privately purchased
Weapons: M16A2, M16A4, SAW MKII (some modded variants were there too), M9
Misc: M40 gas mask bag could be used as a dump mag

Transitionnal (OIF III through OIF V)

Uniform: desert marpat or tan pilot flight suit
Helmet: LWH w/ desert marpat cover
Body armor: CB IBA w/side panels (both early issue and experimental), Spartan I and II
Load carrying Equipment: Mostly directly on vest (Eagle CB pouches, AITES IFAK, some SDS CT stuff and SDS woodland), althought some aftermarket chestrigs and vest seems to be present too
Boots: Belleville 550 ST
Goggles: ESS Profile (tan)
Pistol holster: Aftermarket
Gloves: pilot flight gloves, privately purchased
Weapons: M16A4, M4, SAW (Para, MKII w/ Para stock)
Misc:

Current

Uniform: desert marpat or tan pilot flight suit or Marpat FROG
Helmet: LWH w/ desert marpat cover
Body armor: MTV - MCAV (Eagle plate carrier w/ cumberbund)
Load carrying Equipment: Mostly directly on vest (Eagle CB pouches, AITES IFAK, some SDS CT stuff and SDS woodland), althought some aftermarket chestrigs and vest seems to be present too
Boots: Belleville 550 ST
Goggles: ESS Profile (tan)
Pistol holster: Aftermarket
Gloves: pilot flight gloves, privately purchased
Weapons: M16A4, M4, SAW (Para, MKII w/ Para stock)
Misc:

Ebay is your best bet. It's really cheap. Other than that I bought some in local surplus over time

Little question about the sam-r. Are they based on Colt or on FN M16?
