Well while we are on the topic of refrencing mods to the M4, can anyone name me the modifacation that makes it so that an M4 can take a G3 magazine?

There are only 2 magazine conversions that I ever see myself purchasing. ONe being the G36 magwell bit that allows it to take M16/M4 mags, purely from the standpoint that I'm already set up for and with M16/M4 mags. The second conversion being the Uzi magazine adaptor for the M16/M4. Just because i think it kinda looks cool in an M733.

its called an SR-25 lol
Theres only one HK417 prototype that uses G3 mags and they scrubbed it for the new plastic mags, from what little I recall I believe the magazine didn't have the following pin to make the bolt lock back when the last shot was fired. It's called the M635 lol Last edited by ThunderCactus; January 8th, 2008 at 20:30.. |

Alright I was just curious, I appears to exist in the real steel world as seen on this modded hk416. Its like a psg and an hk416 had sex and this was the baby!

Tokyo, that's the first prototype of the HK417, next up came the plastic mags like I just showed you.

Sorry I came off a bit rough. Those appear to be SR25 or perhaps even M14 magazines if I'm not mistaken. Anyone who can, please correct me on that. I believe the G3 magazines have 3 circular nubs, not unlike in function to the ones on the Uzi mags I pointed out earlier

"The only flaw in this magazine is the lack of a hold-open mechanism. Alas, it is probably not to be." So that's why they're not using G3 mags
http://www.hkpro.com/417newmag.jpg Yes the G3 mags do have the nubs but you cant see them as they inside the mag well |

Yeah, that's not an SR-25 at all. SR-25 is by KAC and this is an HK 417 rifle. It's their 416 but chambered in 7.62 and now with plastic mags.

I realize that. I was referring to the magazine alone, and it's appearance to SR-25 magazines, as opposed to G3 magazines.

A note on the SR47, yeah, I heard it didn't quite live up to expectations either.
On the same front though (and in my opinion, WAAAY more supah-awesome-fun-time), the Hydra: http://www.defensereview.com/modules...rticle&sid=919 Interchangable magwells! 7 different calibers! ooooh! aaah!

I've painted it in a desert scheme but I think it looks better in black.
