Big pain in the ass and the only patch that was useable is now trash.

That's kind of the idea to the Z-kit... one size to be close to your barrel window...
I use krazy glue, the non run gel kind. I haven't had the same issue, mind you I am very careful while sanding. And I understand the time complaint, but if you work 70 hours a week and $40 is a lot of money, you need a new job bud lol. Edit: I take the time complaint back, it literally takes half an hour tops to do this, not including curing time lol. Last edited by Syndakit; September 10th, 2016 at 16:58.. |

But yeah, I clean up the window with a touch of sandpaper. This would hold true especially for brand new barrels, that usually have a small coat of oil in and on them, for shipping and storage purposes.

Make sure the patch isn't too tight in length so that it will just easily sit inside the window. Apply a small amount of pressure to get good contact and let cure for 24 hours. I use a piece of scotch tape with a bit of pressure when I apply it to the barrel covering the patch to ensure a proper position and good firm contact. One of the benefits of using the tape is that you can remove the dowel and remove any RTV that might have gotten onto the inside of the patch. After 24 hours remove the tape and clean up any excess RTV on the outside of the barrel and you are good to go.

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

OR just get someone who knows what they're doing to install it and then you don't have to worry about anything.
Otherwise you'll redo it 2 or 3 times before you get it right. |

KWA experiment was successful. Lifting .32g with ease and significant range increase. I will have to wait for a better opportunity to get an accurate reading on the new range.
MP7 is next on the hit parade.
