They are excellent quality, and 100% spherical. Or are they no better than Crappy Tire?

contact renegade) or go to http://www.bbbastard.com/

I wont even begin to explain how bad canadian tire BBs are....I think there is a character limit per post and we would run out of room.

Welcome Kuji, you have no idea how refreshing it is to have a newcomer that doesn't whine and bitch after asking a question. There were several bans due to noobs asking a question, didn't like the answer and went on a forum rant. Like mentioned before, keep an open mind and absorb all the information given. Keep your pistols and give them a coat of black paint. Save up from now until your 18th birthday, and pick up a nice AEG from the classified for your present.

Oh I think I do. I've seen what happens when someone goes too far. But to all do not worry I will not be one of those people, I will respect the community, and when I'm 18, I'll see y'all out at the fields!

Anyway about spray painting, I want to know if it is legal? I would only use it on my property, and the neighbors are all friends so they don't care what we do in our backyard. Obviously I'm not going to go waving it around in public, but as long as it is in your own backyard, it's legal right? Sorry this might have been asked already, but I can't seem to find it. Ha I'm getting old

not sure about the legalities of it, but as long as you exercise responsibility you'll be fine. no one's gonna give you flak for spray painting your gun. Just make sure that when/if you sell it, you let people know its been spray painted.

no issues that I know. many people paint their plastic/metal guns.

...as long as you're not making it more realistic to use in an unlawful act...

As long as you use the spray paint as the manufacturer intended for, and not some MacGyver doo hicky, you should be ok. Just make sure no one sees your gun before or after painted. Last thing you want is your freshly painted black gun, gets mistaken by your neighbours as a real one. Out of sight, out of mind.

I hope you live on a farm.... you know it's usually illegal (bylaw violation) for people to discharge "air guns" (umbrella term covering paintball, pellet rifles, etc.) within city limits except in prescribed areas zoned for such use. That said don't worry about it if your neighbours are cool since you need someone to actually call up bylaw enforcement (ie. those people who have nothing better to do than ruin your fun like that lady who called me out on using power tools after 4 in the afternoon....) and usually bylaw enforcement focuses on the downtown core.

As for the painting, it "should" be legal but there's no law saying that you're allowed or not allowed to once it's in Canada and in your hands.

As for BB's I've found Matrix BB's to be pretty good (I'm 99% sure they're Airsoft Elite rebrands). Obviously not as good as say BBBastard, or Madbull but they're good. Other pretty good companies I've had experience with include Excel, Airsoft Elite, and Metal Tech (now discontinued but I know they used to rebrand Airsoft Elites).

No actually I don't live on a farm, I live in the suburbs. We have a fairly big backyard with a monster belowground pool. As far as discharging in the backyard, if the neighbors weren't cool with it, I wouldn't be doing in there. The neighbors on the left actually own some air rifles (yeah I said air rifles) and they are always blasting stuff off their shed. Neighbors on the left are cool, as they know I have guns. I've been shooting airsoft guns in our backyard for years lol

Ok, two quick bits of info.

First, there is legislation in Ontario against the acquisition of airguns by minors:
http://www.ontla.on.ca/web/bills/bil...gePrintId=1054

Second, the bylaw in your city prohibiting the use of airguns within your city limits:
http://www.haltonhills.ca/bylaws/pdf/1994-0074.pdf

You might have a permissive relation with your neighbors but a call from anyone passing by is going to land you in trouble.

You're looking at a fine and probable confiscation, and you expose yourself to a world of hurt under various federal firearm acts.

Right I understand. My rents made the purchase, and I payed them the total cost. It worked out pretty nice actually. Second, everybody on my street knows me and that I have airsoft guns, but it is impossible to see into my backyard.
But I understand the concern. If somebody did end up caring enough to call the PO-lice, I'm pretty sure the cops gonna think its a real gun. So how can I enjoy airsoft on my property?

Simple, you don't. Argue all you want the bylaw I quoted is the black on white proof that you are breaking municipal law with a device that is flirting with many non-quoted federal provisions.

You can't loophole your way out of that. It's kind of like asking how to have a meth lab tolerated.
