G&G has confirmed that it is possible to order clear stocked M14's.

Don't believe me? Read it in their 2010 catalog:

the clear stock might actualy get throught since who has a clear stock on a real firearm?

I would just buy a real wood stock in the end anyways

Still doesn't change the fact that it doesn't conform to Canadian import regulations.

Try again.

no i believe you. i am just saying that according to the "official" CBSA rules, even with a clear stock, it technically shouldn't be allowed in. though i wouldn't be surprised if it was.

I've seen a few.
I think they are just demo models at gun shows or something along those lines, not entirely sure.
But I have seen them

You have to remember that laws are subject to interpretation...

I.E.

from cbsa website

Quote:
Replica firearms:
•are designed or intended to exactly resemble a firearm with near precision;
Interpretation could go as such; " If you show up in a drug store to make a robbery with it and the clerk drops dead...It's a replica. But if the clerk drops dead laughing at you....It's not a replica"

And it could be interpreted a hundred different ways depending on the guy who's applying it.

My 2¢

I was not trying to stir up another customs debate, just pointing out what people wanted to hear.

Related is this issue of people not being responsible for your own actions. If you buy a cup of coffee, it shouldn't have to warn you that it is hot. Airsoft shouldn't have to suffer because someone is delusional or suicidal (or, god help us, stupid) enough to flash a replica in public. Why do "toys" need to be banned to protect these types. Look around and see if you can take a pic of something stupid like that. We could probably have 1000's of examples.
If...
The lobbying costs 1 000 000$
And you find 1 000 airsofters to contribute
-> cost to the person is 1 000$

Average CAD price for a gun 500$
Average HK price + shipping + duty is 300$ on a good CAD/US conversion day

Every person will recoup their lobby investement after their 6th gun.

And we kill the AV process.

And we have tweens at games.

The CAD premium of guns isn't too bad for the piece of mind you get from the AV process, and if you whine because you can't find the gun you're looking for you just aren't looking hard enough.
