Condone = We don't support it and won't give you tips on how to (plus AV is basically the only way to get "pro" grade guns anyways).

Think of it like drinking. You're allowed to (some provinces have statues like that) if you're handed the drink by a parent/guardian (no doesn't mean your brother who's 19 or w/e) but you can't actually buy alcohol till you're 19+.

It's the same for airsoft. It's field owners discretion weather they want to allow 16+ to play or not. However as a community we have decided that 18+ is needed to buy guns from here, there is no law stating we have to but by that time first you're a responsible adult and if convicted of any offenses are totally responsible for your own actions, you can't fall back on your parents for help and second of all it's a pretty good age when people start to realize that they should be responsible.

I'm not saying that everyone who's retarded at 17 will suddenly change overnight when they're 18 but personally for me I wouldn't trust my 16-17 year old self with airsoft (even though I've been shooting air rifles since 12 and real steel at 15).

Really though, there are lots of stickies about new people going "I'm 1337 and going to go play with friends in a public location, screw you all".
Good lucky mate, finding a game for minors and all; not sure many people would take you in after this.

Forbes just to reiterate some key points.

-this sport is far from cheap (well really i suppose it depends on what you view as expensive) you can cheap out now and face possible problems with said gear (this applies to everything from guns to gloves) which could end up costing you more money or with some patience you can save up and get something of quality (again this applies to all pieces of kit) while you only really need a gun a few mags and some goggles getting some more proper kit might make your experience a bit more comfy

in other words i recommend waiting a little bit and build up your funds

-While this community doesent condone minors owning airsoft guns this community doesent throw every youngin to the wolfs i can think of about 6 active members who started out underage and have never been pushed away because they did things right i personally came to this community when i was 17 i asked a lot of stupid questions and took my licks and at the risk of tooting my own horn i would like to think i have since improved to become a rather decent member in the end your attitude is more important than your age

-playing in a backyard or public forest is a bad idea first off lots of people hike, backpack, walk in the woods etc if you were to hit somebody and do some serious harm (eye damage or something) your gonna be in a world of hurt

and not to mention houses in the area someone might see you playing and think said toys are real and a visit by the local police is not fun its better to try and find an organized game that will let you attend (maybe not right away in your case but see tip number 1)

-a PAL/RPAL doesent make you an exception to anything this was touched on just yesterday with a user who believed he was exception to the rules because he was 16 and a reservist in the CF (apparantly). but the fact stands at 18 you are legally responsible for your actions that is the big reason

-develop a strong chin around here some people can be a touch harsh in their wording here but in the newb tank your relatively safe some peoples posts may come across as flaming but i wouldent worry too much about it if people are genuinely flaming you the mods who monitor this section will take notice to it most ricky tick

i hope the advice i provided is accurate (if i made any foul ups could someone point them out please?) and hope it helped in some capacity

Are you compleatly stunned? i said i have a forest that i can play in. their is no actuall airsoft places near my house and who would i play with anyway? the only people i can play with are my friends that have never played airsoft, thats why i want to get a good gun, cause my friends wont play cause all we have available to us are the clearsoft guns from canadian tire that look like kids waterguns. If i show him they dont look like kids toys he might play. Ive never played airsoft eather but it looks like fun.. I read somewhere on the forums by some moderator or somethin like that that "clearsoft did not have a place in airsoft canada and is not the future of airsoft." lol, if thats true then I should be able to get a good gun (not clearsoft). L473ncy is the only one not being a dick and actually explaing crap.

Thats not the point, at all. You've stated you're going to play on property that isn't slated to be used in that way. After such a confession, not many people here will assist you at all. ASC as a whole doesn't condone or suggest "Yea, go play in your backyard." You should fill our your location information - it assists ASC members in helping you find licensed places to play. Not backyards.

Further more, full black guns are not available to people who are not age verified. You need to wait until you are 18 years of age, and then you will be able to purchase full black guns from the classifieds. - After getting age verified.

lol id have an eaiser time getting a real gun. but anyway im from peterborough ontario. and i dont think their are any airsoft places around where i live. i could get a AfterMath Broxa Evolution Special Operations Command from the bass pro shop but i dont know how good it will be.

It's a horrible gun, really it is.

It's proned to failing badly. Give it 2 weeks and it'll be a dead gun.

Same goes for the Kraken. Honestly, the only good guns are all black guns already in Canada.
Which are for 18+.
I have 3 boxes from my guns, they all say along the lines of "For the use of users 18 and up"

Many have waited to be 18, I did. It's really worth the wait.

All the money I spent on crap guns, I should've waited and saved so when I turned 18, I could've got A/V'd, and then gotten myself a nice gun.

God damn, I remember when minors came on the forums asking questions they were always revelent and more geared toward playing with the asc community when the time comes....

Now its just "nope, fuck you I'm gonna buy this gun, paint it to look real and play in my backyard with it, I will also heft it around in my backpack on my bike when going down the busy street to my other retarded little friends house, and I couldn't give a shit about your legal advice or advice of any kind other than what gun I should buy to rape your community and your already underground sport with..."
