I'm not considering buying another TM motor. Just trying to decide between replacing my pinion gear, or replacing the motor all together. Is the Guarder Infinite Torque up superior to the EG1000?

This is probably a bad idea...but how bout the Systema Magnum motor? I read good things about trigger response, which I really like. I would only be using a m120 spring at the most though.

The Guarder Infinite Torque Up is a lot stronger than the EG1000. The Systema Magnum is a little bit stronger than the Guarder. Either is very, very nice.
Personally...unless I knew that the motor was in great/new shape...I'd just buy a new motor. |

try adjusting the motorheight with only the gears inside the gearbox. You could hear weezing sound as you adjust it and get the optimum height. With this plus a good shimmings, your pinion gear would last long.

Personally I'd be trying the pinion gear replacement first, then decide whether to buy a new motor or not. I could replace the gear for you if you sent me the motor and pay for shipping both ways, I think I saw a spare gear or two in my parts bin, plus I have the tool to yank the damaged one off.

LOL! your wires in the grip are prob not allowing the motor to spring up and down (hehe, this is airsoft we are talking about right) try rearanging the wires. Another time i found once was the screw heads on the screws that hold the grip to the mechbox were to big and interfering with the motor end.

lol. Anyways...I switched grips and lost the motor height problem. But it still can't pull the spring. I heard the spring pull back, which is an improvement over total lockup, but not far enough to fire. I bypassed a set of the low-quality connectors in my stock and it sounded stronger, but still not enough to fire. So I figure this has to be an electrical problem.
Motor is good. Motor height is good. Gears and gear ratios are good (standard). Shimming is good. Battery is good (9.6v). Spring is modify 110. Still no worky. I'm gonna get some gold plated motor connectors from Jugglez. Are the Modify deans connectors good? Do the the deans connectors fit through buffer tubes? Like...can they be connected directly to the mechbox and threaded through my stock to make a direct connection to the battery? I'm tired of fucking around with this thing. I want a gun that works (and very well), so I'd like to get everything I need to make sure my electrical is as good as it can get.

What piston do you have in there anyways. I recall last year a couple mechboxes locking up (piston would go almost full rear then stop, not enough to be released) and I think the problem was the DeepFire pistons not liking to be used with a bearing spring guide. I actually found this in two different guns.
Just a thought. |
