The same way you zero a scope.

Steady your rifle, aim for something at the distance you want to shoot normally, and put the dot when your bullet go.

The RDS have little screws, just like a scope, to ajust it.

scopes in airsoft are plain dumb if they have over 5X magnification, this unless u trained urself makes it easy to underestimare ur shots....scopes are for real steel not bb's...

Sights such as the Elcan and Acog are decent if u know how to use them, they are geat for spotting and getting cood precice shots....

rds are mainly used for indoor, or short range/town scenerio games were u will be doing alot of cqc style gaming.

Iron sights are great for standard assault rifles and there really is no point of dishing out extra cash on scopes or even sights. with iron sights ul be able to hit most targets anyway. RDS are good for cqc and are worth getting if thats wat u intend on playing

Wouldn't the MP5 iron sights interfere with your peripherals?

I beg to differ.

Zooming a scope to 9 or 10x is pretty usefull, especially for snipers.

Might not be for shooting, but a scope is a tool not limited to aiming. Mildot scopes are usefull for range estimation, as an example.

How... the sights don't surround your eyeballs.

I a 3-9x50 scope on my sniper rifle and 4x scopes on all my AEGs.
I've tried 1x and 2x RDS and find regular 4x crosshair scopes the most useful.
A couple of them are illuminated reticle, and I never turn it on.

You only use BUIS if optics fail. In the military, it needs to be on!
If for airsoft or personal use, you are fine without.
