Yes, so in other words, dont attempt to store your guns in residence at all. Dont try to hide it, dont try to sneak them in or out, because if your caught, you'll no doubt be expelled, arrested, guns siezed for having replicas on school grounds and in a public facility, you could end up in jail, and oh look, now your life is over pal, it also could add another point to the complete ban of airsoft as well. So keep them off campus, rent a small storage place somewhere. Or do some of the other methods mentioned, as slong as they are off campus.

You guys know the laws better than I do, so I will take your advice to heart. I guess I just have to research some kind of storage place to keep my guns.

There are people here who live near campus willing to hold onto guns, such as yours truly. Don't fret too much over what's going to happen in Canada, the most damaging thing you could do would be to try to bring what you have over the border. Once you've bought in Canada, you're pretty much in the clear as long as you don't do anything stupid.

Hey Man,

Your facing a number of challenges coming from the states, hopefully this will help.

Sell your AEGs/GBBs/NBBs/Whathave you now, you won't be able to bring them across the border, and attempting to do so will give you the oppertunity to get VERY personal with a border gaurd by the name of Bubba .

Seriously though, your best plan at this point is sto sell your Airsoft down there, bring the cash here and buy from a Canadian retailer. As for keeping it in Rez, you have a few options.

This year, I was able to clear keeping these bad boys in my room by my Don, so long as they have proper trigger locks and the case(s) are kept locked at all times. While the printed rules state that you cannot have them on the premises, sometimes talking to your Don will free up some lee-way, allowing you to keep your gear. The biggest factor in deciding this, is what kind of residence is it?

Bring an upperyear student, I'm now in the uber-secure leet tower complex at UTSC, however if your in an older style dorm (The old towers with2 guys to a room, no dividing wall etc), or a townhouse style rez, you may not be able to keep them.

In short once you move in you can bring your kit with you, but talk to your don, then perhaps the Campus PD about what to do with them. Generally speaking Don's and CPDs aren't all gestapo when it comes to this stuff, however should the be a paintball attack, or a number of BBs are spotted on campus, expect a visit from either your Don, or the CPD.

All in all I would consider it not worth trying to conceal, or even get permission by a Don. Can a Don even endorse such a thing? Even so you'll be labeled by that Don and maybe others as weird gun crazy guy.

Give your gun to a respectable airsofter near you such as haryleyb (basing this purely on his amount of posts and trader rating ). Then after first year try and get an offcampus residence with a bunch of mates. Don't know how it goes over at your Uni, but here at mac most people have to move offcampus after 1st year. Then it'll likely be less trouble storing your stuff. Even better get you parents to buy a house for you and rent it to your mates, like in my case  , if money and spoiling parents permit.

Not when you suckerd the Don into playing. Owned . In all seriousness though, if you want to approach your Don, or Rez Advisor (not sure what they are called at Queens), don't be an idiot, carefully explain what airsoft is, and chances are you'll be fine. The worst thing that can happen is they say no, then you can either store kit at a friends place off-campus, or look into other storage options.

My intent is to store things I have posted for sale at my Rez location, but leave the rest at home (assuming i'll have a chance to stop there on the way out to a game). Seriously though, don't try to just sneak them in, its not worth it.

The absolute best thing you can do, imho, is full disclosure; make sure all the higher ups know exactly what you're talking about. Once they've been informed and they've made a decision, follow their instructions to the letter.

There is nothing worse than having a misunderstanding about something as volatile as airsoft guns, especially at such a sensitive time.

Speaking From Experiance.

Hey there...

I went to mohawk college, stayed in res.

College residences are a scaled down prison. NO they will not allow anything of the sort into thier doors, and dont even fucking THINK of trying to sneak it in.

Too much money to risk.

Your first problem; the Canada/US Border. Dont forget about that one because it's unforgiving. It would really suck if you got barred at the border. Forget your studies up here for starters.

Your second problem; residence. Since you are not (I guess here) a Canadian citizen, anything like this found in your dorm is a ticket back home at the very least.

Dont try your luck, you cant afford the consequences.

Sorry I havent been on in awhile because I am in college in kingston, St. Lawrence,

Now since I have friends living in Res there, I know that in the rule book you CANT have any kind of weapons. Fantasy swords, blowguns,BB guns or anything and if caught you can (have seen it) be kicked out of Res and you will be brought to the head of the college and possibly kick out of school for violating the rules.
This is a college, I can only imagine the rules on queens.

I just want to warn you bud, I dont want a bad name for airsoft in kingston even though there is a small number of us. Hopefully after im done school I will be back into this sport.

Anyways If need be I can probably store here in my apt. Proper trigger locks, case would be needed though.

Otherwise http://www.martingroup.ca/mps.html Martins Storage, Just down the road from me, Family has used them and are pretty good, price wasnt bad last time I remember
http://www.access-storage.com/access_storage.htm Havent used these guys

But these are a couple places in kingston. Not to be like a broken record, but like everyone is saying, sell your guns buy in canada. The classified section is helpful here gives you and idea for used weapons and then to the top we have our retailers which are usually pretty good but if your nervous just post a message and ask about them.

Anyways, hopefully we meet someday and goto a game, till then catch you later.

Completely agree, they tell you you can't have beer bottles, knives, gun replicas, drugs, and anything else illegal or semi illegal or just bad by their standards, but if you aren't stupid with it and hide it and not play with it on campus you'll be fine.i had a sword in first year, just kept it in my closet, t'was fine.

That made it to the MOST STUPID ADVICE OF THE WEEK list. Bravo for suggesting breaking rules and laws.

I dont suggest breaking laws. Not storing replica firearms on campus is only school policy, not the law. I only offered that as an option. Personally it's one that I wouldn't try, but I was just throwing it out there as a possibility. Knives, drugs and other things though, you're pushing it.

oh right. So a knife is pushing it, but a 1:1 replica assault rifle isnt?

Hiding an assault rifle on campus is possibly one of the stupidest ideas i have heard.
I know common sense isnt very common, but use your flippin brain people.

Why do I get the feeling that a certain guy's age-verification process around Ottawa may be difficult?
