That being said, if your pistol is crack one-hundred feet or more, then why continue pushing it? I assume your pistol is your secondary? So if it's quick acquisition or tighter quarters/closer range, then one-hundred plus feet it great for a sidearm. All that being said, if you know what you're doing and you have all the time and money, then "hell yeah", try and push that sucker to its limits. Some claim to have pistols ranging past two-hundred feet accurately. Personally I like having lower powered sidearms (under 350), so they can be used sportsmanly/safely anywhere, anytime and at any range, but I suppose it depends on the local field/game rules.
My pistols shoot straight and long.... very easy to get nice long range shots with. I mainly play outdoors and going pistol only wouldn't be too much of a problem for me.

With that said though I agree if you can do it why not. Usually these ideas could lead into the next big thing with Airsoft... who knows I'd be interesting to see.

Had a chance to really test drive the RHOPed set up today. I was extremely pleased with the results. Lots of witnesses to attest to the marked range increase. Even with green gas the accurate range was potential more than double the stock set up. Could actually be further than some stock AEGs.
Given I have no idea what upgraded rubber would yield results like this, it was definitely worth the small amount of effort I had to put into it.

It was very impressive to see the range he was getting today. Honestly, for the effort in doing it I would say its worth it. Long, consistent and flat shots? yes please.

This is what they look like in case anyone is interested.

I've done 3 KJW 1911's and one WE Glock with the PDI barrel. All have had sizeable range increase with very flat trajectories using up to .36BB's. The Hop up system in these pistols is essentially the same, so dealing with the overhop means trimming the nub inside the rubber and flattening the hop up arm slightly.

Pretty simple mod and extremely noticeable results.
