+1 for fogtech. its a great product, its the only thing i'll use for anti-fog and ive even turned a few others onto it.

as for eyewear your face should determine what kind of eyewear you buy. always buy ansi or csa rated safty glasses. the price tag of them does NOT matter but how they fit does. if you have a weird shapped face you may need fully sealed glasses. if interested in full seal goggles there are a few models with built in fans to help fight fog, the cheap ones work but the fan is apparently very loud. also there is nothing wrong with using a paintball mask if thats your preference. however most people say its harder to aim down sights with a paintball mask so some modification may be required to properly aim down sights

i have bought 3 different glasses so far. i started with standard safety glasses *$10* which were ok but didn't fit super well, then last year i bought a set of ESS Ices *$65* which fit better on my face. they also came with a hard case, 3 lens' and IMO very importantly a retention strap. this winter i bought a set of smith optics *$104* which fit even nicer on my face. the smiths also come with a hardcase 3 lens' and a retention strap. i bought mine with multicam frame, which made it 10$ more.

this year our team implimented some new rules, one of which is eyewear retention straps. this is because we can see a hazard of running while being shot and your glasses falling off by accident...its a rare occurance but we'd rather not see anyone go blind

I have both goggles and glasses for super long games or the instances where my goggles will fog no matter what.

I would not wear glasses for a whole game or any game where there is a chance that you can take a shot at a weird angle like indoors or an outdoor field with cqb conditions. While I did not end up with a BB inside the shield, I did end up with a BB hitting the exact seam where the shield ended, and it was on the inside edge of the orbital bone. While it felt like every other shot to the cheek I've had, That's way too close for me. Glasses, can shift far more than goggles, and I will only switch to glasses as a temporary fix to either swap out the lens in my goggles, or to fix a problem with them, or if I have no other choice.

Mind you I did play about 4 games with just glasses, and they were fine, they stopped shots directly at the lens, but getting one right on the edge on a spot that borders the eye is a bit nervewracking.

sorry i should have been more specific. yes this was a problem for me in paintball too. however I was forced to wear these full face masks. plus eating a mouthful of paint tastes like shit.

I think some of the guys around here like the ESS ICE ballistics and I know one guy in Van who uses Revision Sawflys, if you need sealed ballistics I believe the Revision Bullet Ants are quite popular in Europe (I'm pretty sure that Scout over in UK uses those).

i saw some players yesterday at Ambush paintball just wear ballistic glasses not even fully sealed. i would say they look like the oakley m frames.

some of the guys were wearing just the glasses no mesh. it looks like a better option for a player like me that runs around and sweats a lot.

We get this question all the time from our new members - which glasses to buy.

You can find certified glasses anywhere, and at any price, from $2 on up. The price has very little (or nothing) to do with the lense's ability to stop a BB. Certified is certified. It all comes down to comfort and style.

Obviously, they need to wrap sufficiently to virtually eliminate the possibility of a BB sneaking around the side, or coming in from above or below the lense, but other than that, whatever fits best, fogs least, and works best for you is just fine.

I could be wrong... but probably, most likely not, as far as I know.
