Well so everybody Is clear, I wasn't trying to break any rules or pick beefs, I just didn't know much about this gun except it's umarex, hk liscenced, an comes in black and clear.

@tokyoseven,
I'll try contacting the manufacturer to get more info on the mech box and thanks for giving me a place to start

P.S.

I got the black one not clear so everyone understands that part

so you actually have one? then why are you asking us about it if you seem to be the only one here who's actually got one?

or did you just order one? the black version? from umarexusa.com?

well in that case if you did.... umm, good luck!

I'll let someone else fill you in as to what will most likely happen (like 99.9% will most likely happen).
Probably the CBSA, they'll let you know. here's some reading material for the meantime Imporing Airsoft and You!

YouTube- NEW Fully Licensed HK G36 Airsoft Rifles from Spartan Imports!

Kinda doubt it is the exact same thing. The vid says nothing about these being able to be spring powered too. They look mighty nice though, and they are on ehobby asia for about 300$ US.

Its not the same gun. I believe your linked video pertains to this G36.

Not this one that the OP originally asked about.

How about you whip it open and show us some pics and we'll tell you what upgrades we figure are comparable?

Otherwise we'll just assume that since it offers the spring option that it uses a bunch of proprietary parts and thus is incomparable with regular AEGs.

Accessories wise anything you can think of that can fit on a 20mm rail should fit on your rails.

As for internal upgrades that is still based on part compatibility.

Maybe it's best to leave it together... lower quality guns don't like being taken apart, as they often use self-tapering screws.

Are you having any specific performance problems? If not, sometimes it's best to wait until it breaks before taking it apart and upgrading.

If you're just looking for general performance, then maybe a new battery and charger would be your best bet to squeeze out a bit more ROF and better trigger response. A new barrel and hopup rubber for a bit more accuracy, if necessary...

If you want lasers, flashlights, or red-dots, then you can just mount them on without taking it apart.

In the spartan imports video, on the handguard there is a tag stating "made in china",here I thought the production of Airsoft guns were illegal in china.

China tends to allow things like this to go on, as long as it is for export only.

The companies that got shut down were selling to the domestic (Chinese) market, which the government doesn't like.
