Tan/Coyote Brown. Definitely not black, unless you plan to only play indoors.

No wonder everyone though you were the enemy, you were wearing 3 completely different camo's lol
Don't wear black outdoors And try to make yourself look like ONE camo, IE tan, green, multicam, marpat, etc Don't wear like OD bottom and tan top because that's just asking to get shot |

Tell that to the Brits and Marines mixing up their camo in A-Stan these days...

There's a guy on my team that has one of those, he loves it. Built in mag pouches are really handy when you're starting off.
And +1 for CB/tan/khaki/something brown.

Being invisible and not getting shot at... thats whats popular!!!...
Ok... honestly... you need to be the same color has the guys you wish to play with... If you search ASC has with cars and hockey... EVERYONE has an opinion... SPECIALY those who should'nt !!! What you must remember is WHY you buy a pat... to hide... sticking out like a sore thumb and getting killed first in a game stinks... each pat has a reason ireland (rust colored moss) swiss, german ... desert, jungle... So in Canada, OD, woodland, marpat, cadpat, unless you live in a mining environment or specific one than ask locally cheers, Pete Quote:

I remember a few years ago, a big game at Rawdon, Quebec. Huge sandpit with large islands of forest and waist high grass in places (we won't discuss the gay nudist camp next to the field or the encounters some guys had)........ about a half dozen guys on the green team wore ACU because it was listed as being on the green side (the other being tan/desert/MC, etc). and how many times I heard the ACU guys on comms bitching about friendly fire from the green team.............. nutshell, is useless, doesn't really fit in anywhere teamwise, you may look cool but you'd look cool only in the staging area and respawn. On the field, friendlies will know where you are, and the OPFOR will see you easier than someone wearing a helmet.

It works both ways, I mean ACU is just such an incredibly obvious pattern, it couldn't possibly be mistaken for anything else UNLESS your surrounded by brown and in the shade or surrounded by green and in the shade, because real ACU takes on it's surroundings colors (looks like marpat from far away if your hiding under a trailer)
But as long as people KNOW acu is on their team, it's usually pretty hard to get FF'd. I wore ACU for 2 yrs, I loved the camo but I'm glad I switched to multicam lol |

I run ACU Pants (because they are the most comfortable pair I have) and either a Marpat or Cadpat shirt. Never had a problem with FF. 90% of the time they won't see my legs anyway. ACU is also very good for Canadian winter games.
As far as the mag shingles; great for quickly accessing the mags, bad for everything else. Don't think about crawling anywhere or you'll end up with dirt/grass/mud/debris in the bottom of your pouch which means there will be shit in the feeding end of your mag (bad thing). It depends on your playing style if this will be a deal breaker. If you get good quality covered mag pouches (ones with the optional silent strips) sound will not be a problem. With practice you'll probably be able to rip the flap open as fast as you would find the elastic tab and pull it to the side.

And +1 on the ACU pants, they're twice as thick as typical hot weather camo, but half as hot because they reflect the sun's heat. Learned that one the hard way, switched into DPM pants at an op and I was sweating to death lol |
