KJW KP-05 (M1911) Barrel Upgrade?

Do you think it would fit in my KJW KP-05 Hi-Capa (M1911) since it's a 99% replica of the TM one?
Do you think it would be too long? o.O

1) The KP-05 is NOT a 1911 replica or variant. It is based on a 2011 platform, regardless of whatever KJW is using as their marketing terminology.

2) I don't see why it wouldn't work - I've tested bone stock plastic Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 outer barrels successfully in the KJW KP-05

3) What is your reason for wanting to upgrade to this outer barrel? I find the action to be unrealistic. I have a newly developed one-piece stainless steel outer barrel that's cheaper, and works similar to the real thing with the tilting action which assists in chambering the next round. My version also reduces the impact of the slide against the chamber - the exact things the Airsoft Surgeon outer barrel is attempting to avoid with their static barrel. The chamber markings of my release will also be more realistic (.45 ACP is standard engraving. Other markings available upon request.)

the inner barrel actually moves a heck of a lot less than the outer, and by the time that it moved the BB is long gone....not quite sure on the benefit, maybe saves a bit of gas. If one is so hell bent on trying to minimize all the movement and "GBB-ness" of gas guns you might as well shoot NBB or AEPs....

Agreed, their marketing claim about more accurate or stable shots is bull-hickey.

The system just doesn't work that way. The slide doesn't actually start its blowback cycle until the BB has left the inner barrel. There are some ultra high speed camera videos of this action online.

Contrary to popular belief, the inner barrel is pretty much fixed to the frame. It doesn't move at all.

So because of that, it doesn't affect accuracy at all if the outer barrel moves or not.

The only benefit of a fixed outer barrel is slide durability or reliability, as none of the lugs have to be engaged to either pull the chamber back OR push it forward.

btw, without the lug would the slide be bouncing off the stop on return? The lugs keeps the slide inplace once return to battery no?

Partially, yes. But the hop up chamber is another engagement point...
