The internals of an airsoft gun mechbox require lubrication, these lubrications come in the forms of greases and oils. Your houp rubber never requires any lubrication, in fact spraying silicone oil into your hopup will probly mess up your accuracey for a while.
The only real places inside your gun that need lubrication are your gears, your bushings, and a intcy little bit around your cylinder head.

Silicone oil is used primarily in gas guns, more specifically gas gun magazines. The oil helps keep the seals inside the mag from drying out.

This would depend on the condition the AEG arrived in. I've heard of AEG's coming out of the box with no lubrication whatsoever on the internals. Better to be safe and check.

And quite honestly, silicone oil is by far the cheapest thing you will buy in airsoft.
yep thats what happened to me

Look up the gundoctor thread and contact someone from there.

There's a listing of most gundocs in Canada there. Obviously it's not totally complete but those guys should know what they're doing.

I believe there is also a gundoctor listing on Airsoftparts too.
