Green Line PMAG feeding problem

Hiya all,

Have done search, no love.

I have an issue, just picked up a box of Green-line PMAGs, 75 rounds. We had a pre-season tune-up day and had a heck of a time feeding into my gun. I found if I hooked my thumb around back of the mag to pull forward and up, I fed reliably. My gun is a bit of a franken gun, purchased from here, with really high quality parts but all sorts of brands, so isn't as happy of a gun as I'd like.

If you have the Greenline PMAGS (I have the 120 round full brand PMAG, and my gun loves it), can you tell me what hopup you have in there? And if you've noticed anything weird.

Because of the tilting the mag solution, I wonder if it's an issue like the link:http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=71646, that modifying the retention catch would solve it. I figure ask before I start filing my magazines.

Any other suggestions?

Got some of the economy PMAGs. AFAICT, they feed fine in my Star, but Star did make them.

If you need to push your mag up, it might be advisable to shim your mags so they catch and seat higher (if possible).

If you have to push up your mags to feed, that would be the solution most likely.

I noticed with one gun i had that some mags were like that and all i used was the soft side of velcro tape and put that in mag well and it gave enough pressure on mag to feed properly.

How do you shim your mags to seat higher? (Sorry, could be a blond moment, but I can't figure out higher... lower, sure, higher... not at this time)

Look at the hole on the mag that the catch locks into. If there's enough room, glue a shim (such as a piece of old credit card) to the top of that hole. That will lock and seat the mag higher.

Thanks!

Will try both (well, one then the other).

Anything else I might be able to do?
