Walther P38
Hi guys !
My friends and I are really into the WWII guns and I'm looking for the best Walther P38 airsoft gun out there. The reason I'm posting this thread is because I only found very few reviews about this gun, probably because there aren't many replicas throughout all the companies making them. All I've managed to find so far are reviews about the Maruzen version wich doesn't seem so bad except I'm looking for an all steel replica. So does anybody know of other models ? Rumors of an upcoming one maybe ? Opinions ? Pictures ? Danny

All-steel may be impossible. Generally airsoft replicas, if they are metal, are made of cheap zinc alloys or in the best case, aluminum. There are some exceptions, but not commonly. I would be interested in finding a p-38 too.

Well I was looking for something along the line of the WE Luger, wich even tho it's not a top quality gun, is a great collection piece with quite a decent field usability...

Just checked WGC shop; the Maruzen silver P38 is ABS plastic.

haha~~many dudes got rip off by those products with those words"full-metal",economically,worth to get it,cuz they come with a medium price compared to those dear but still ABS japan products.
but personally i prefer japan's ABS products,cuz"full-metal" seems like kinder a psychological effect which makes you accept the fact that products made by metal are always much better and stronger than those made by ABS. however,as a matter of fact,the materials used for those fullmetal airsofts are surplus metals that japanese manufacturers treat as trashes by testing many times.so thats why they release all the original airsofts with ABS and some corresponding updatable metal parts. cuz they are knowing that paying for a relatively reliable shooting system is much more important than the material by which they are made. for example,with so many 1911 releasing by japan and taiwan companies. the TM and KSC ,WA always are proved the toppest. complains from the WE and KJW always happen even though they have a strong metal jacket... |

@sortie39
This thread is not for your personnal views on abs vs metal, there are quite enough of those around.
