Metal Mp5 uppers

Metal Mp5 uppers? I wasn't sure how available they are and couldn't find any for sale here on ASC but I'd really like one for my latest project.

I thought it'd be weird to find one since the funny way the separate in two but I'm cautiously optimistic.

for all the people asking for metal uppers, stop pm'ing me. do as I did, post a wanted ad in the appropriate forum and wait. I don't know if the person who got it for me is getting anymore or if he wants to bring in more.

Just keep in mind, MP5 uppers are the prohibited part of the gun. So don't try and order them from outside our borders.

I thought it was the lowers... or is it different for each gun? just curious, all the armalites i've seen available to the public have metal uppers and clear lowers...

Generally it's the part that has the "Serial #," meaning it will vary from gun to gun.

For ARs, this is the lower. With MP5s, this is the upper (on the MP5, the # is on the right side of the mag well and the mag well is part of the upper, no clue where it is on on an AR). That's why ARs have clear lowers and MP5s have clear uppers.

Besides, the lower on real MP5s aren't metal.
