G&G RK104 barrel thread
Hey guys,
I was just wondering, I can't find a concrete answer on the barrel threading for the RK104. One review here said it was 20mm+ and most sites say its 14mm (either CCW or CW i cant remember). Ken himself from 007 told me it was 14mm (+ or - cant remember). Some sites say its 20mm+ for real russian silencers, but has a 14mm underneath (how does that work? i dont know...) So, whats the truth? is it 14mm? or not... |

would you happen to notice if there is any secret 14mm thread underneath?
Do 20mm silencers for airsoft even exist? |

They can.

It's cast right into the front sight etc. Doesn't appear to be any other threads under it.

Just like on car forums. "Can I drop an SR into my Micra?" Sure, with enough money.

Okay well what I don't get is...
G&G makes a PBS-1 silencer for their own RK series... http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=21092 But, its 14mm...so why the fuck would they make a silencer for their gun, if it doesnt even fit? WTF? it does say RK SERIES, last time I checked, the rk104 is part of the RK series. man im confused. |

Google search for "rk104 threading" pointed me back to ASC. Now, was that hard?
It's not 14mm. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=19654 |

Maybe it was too hard for you to read the part where I said I already saw the ASC review that says exactly that.
The point is, there's a bunch of sources saying 14mm and reliable sources saying 20mm (I mean he owns the gun right) but Ken says 14mm and so does G&G's own silencer for the gun. Now I know according to the review its 20mm, but one said it had both, 20mm on top and 14mm underneath. I just have no clue how that is possible, and according to XXWilliamXX its part of the barrel, which he must be right since he owns the damn thing. I'm confused as why G&G would make silencers that dont fit on their guns, and would thread their gun so it cant take any silencers ever. |

maybe there's an 20mm adaptor over a 14mm threading, very much possible.

Wouldn't the gun owners on this forum have realized this though?
(maybe someone could check plz hehe) Is it possible that they released 2 different versions? one with 14mm and one with 20mm... |

The G&G PBS-1 silencer is threaded for 20mm (+ or -, I never checked) and comes with a 20mm to 14mm- adapter. I've never owned the RK104, so I don't know about the threading on it.

Well...
that explains alot so they made their gun 20mm+ and made a silencer that fit that and other guns. Fuck.....well I guess that answers my question. |
