M4 - custom parts & upgrade

Hi there,
This is my first post here, and i want to share with all you to know if i've done it ok, of what do you can suggest me. Thanks for taking time to read this.

Well, some months ago i bought a TM M4A1 from RedWolf upgraded to 440fps.

As most of TM i was very satisfied with the gun. The uprade included:

Level IV premium upgrade option that increases your firepower and range. Upgrade work includes installation of the following:
1. Install Prometheus spring
2. Systema Bearing middle gear
3. Systema Steel bushings
4. Systema Hi Torque gears
5. Battery Compartment Mods
6. Systema Directional Piston Head
7. Systema Bearing Rear Spring Guide
8. Fuse removal
9. Custom work to ensure smooth operation
10. Install Deep Fire Titanium Piston (Titanium Teeth)
This upgrade option represents a most powerful power upgrade for this gun.

The first thing i changed was the batery. I rewired to the rear, and put a 9.6v 3600 Mah
second, the motor (it cames with a EG1000. I changed for a Systema Magnum Motor.

Next: mechbox. I changed for a Systema.

And some other afterparts:

- Prometheus Steel Barrel de 6.03mm high precision de 407mm
- G&P metal body (zombie killer)
- G&P ergo grip
- Deep Fire metal nozzle
- Systema Tappet

Here you can see the parts (Upper Body receiver is G&P - lower body receiver is the original TM), and some of the upgrade had been done (fire selector,..part of the wiring in the mechbox..)

Here making some modifications to fit TM parts in the G&P body

Assembling HopUp

Here the Prometheus barrel:

Some modifications to fit TM outer barrel into G&P metal body:

Here is DeepFire Titanium teeth piston :

Assembling mechbox. You can see the diference between a normal gearbox and the reinforced one. (the reinforced one is on top of the pic).

Here Systema Hitorque Gears and the metal nozzle:

Closing mechbox after shimming and greasing it:

Here the mechbox inside the lower receiver:

Assembling the grip...

Here the AEG finished: Systema mechbox, G&P metal body and hopup, outer barrel TM, inner barrel prometheus. with a M120 spring shooting at 432fps with 0.20g BBs

At this moment, i wasn't using the original spring of the 440 fps upgrade.

--------------------
Part II :

I change the gears with a Helical Gear Set.

Also i change the original polycarbonate piston for a helical metal teeth one (deep fire).

Here the Helical Gears:

I had to do some extra work on the mechbox to fit the helical gears in.

Changing the piston head to the new helical piston.

and for the end...some new additions:

- Aircraft aluminium barrel 509mm high precision madbull
- G&P silencer ZOMBIE KILLER
- Flashlight

Final images:

here you can see the rewiring and the modified batery

Now it shoots at 430fps with 0.25g BBs

Hope you like the post.

Best regards,

A Crane stock on there would be ideal for something with so much power.

1 note, with 509mm barrel you might want to upgrade to a type 0 cylinder. Usually a M4 cylinder will vent some of the air and with a 509mm barrel you need to utilitize all that air coming from the cylinder....
