Airsoft Surgeon hammer installation....
Just wondering if anyone has purchased & installed these Custom made Airsoft Surgeon hammers into their TM Hicapa 5.1? I'm having some difficulty with the installation but I'm sure I'll figure it out sooner or later. All parts seem to be manufactured as close to the originals except for the sear, making me wonder if this is where my problem (or modification) lies?
The problem I'm currently experiencing is the hammer not returning to the fired position. It cocks back just fine...you can feel the sear engage, tick, tick, & pull the trigger and it travels only two thirds of the way. I'm going to try the new hammer with the original sear a little later to see if I need to make some mods to the new one! This is what they look like: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=23541

Figured it out...tension on leaf spring to sear was too high. Would not allow sear to fully disengage from hammer after trigger was pulled & gun was fired.
Special thanks to CGIvisionary for his insight into hammers & sears 101... I learned a lot today! Later. KP
