Zeke Metal Slide Install on Deagle

I bought a Desert Eagle Hardkick (v2) and a Zeke metal slide for it, I put about two mags of bb's through it, then I decided I'd take it apart, put on the metal slide and put it back together.

....

It was surprisingly easy to install, it took me (who is quite inexperienced with gbb's) about an hour and half to completely finish, most of the reason it took so long is because I had trouble with getting some of the internals out properly (the japanese manual helped wonders) and I had to grind and modify one part of the outer barrel (under the sliding hop-up cover) I thought I'd take some pics and write up a walkthrough in a few days on how to do accomplish this, if anyone has run into any problems or have any questions about the slide in the meantime just post them here or pm me and I'll do my best to answer them.

(please forgive any spelling mistakes, I'm a little tired)

Oh btw the gun works great, I put 170% king arms recoil springs on it, takes green/propane out of the box and I love the new look, no more "Made In Japan" it says "Made In Israel" now lol :-D

i remeber seeing pics in a magazine about dissasembling a desert eagle, when i saw how they took the hop up cover off and removed the inner barrel+ hop up unit out of the outer barrel i thought " that must be hard to install into a metal slide kit. i'm guessing that the modification you had was related to the relatively unflexible metal barrel and refitting the hop up unit with those tap things on the sides.

how's the kick, more or less than before? and how's the blowback speed, i;m thinking it would be noticably slower than with the original plastic slide + barrel

Yup, it was that spot exactly, just took a few minutes to drill it and file it, I'll get a pic up soon.

And the kick, well, it's a little better, the slide hasn't added much more weight, the blowback speed, it's even better imo, with those new king arms springs she's really snappy, puts a smile on my face. :-D

Hey, if I may ask, where did you buy the ZEKE Desert Eagle slide and Barrel at? I was thinking if I bought TM Desert Eagle, I would install the ZEKE metal slide and barrel, and the ZEKE frame too. I know that it would need that stronger spring like you said you have in yours. Im just wondering if I can install real-steel grips on it tho. I found some wood grips that would make this beast one sexy monster! Besides the wood grips there is some rubber grips with finger groves. Also do you think you could get some pics up of your DE?

Here are the wood grips: http://www.magnumresearch.com/Expand...uctCode=DEP815

Here are the rubber grips: http://www.magnumresearch.com/Expand...uctCode=DEP821

FYI, I purchased the Hogue Rubber Grip w/Finger Groove from Magnum Research, Inc. and it's not compatible with the TM Desert Eagle .50AE Hard Kick. So I just returned it for a full refund.

Okay, in a few weeks I'm going to take the time to post a full walk through (hopefully) of how to install the zeke metal slide on the deagle, but until then here's a pic of it finished and the only problem I encountered during the entire install.

Now, here is the manual, my scanner did a pretty good job, there is one thing you have to look out for while doing this install, it's on part 50AE-36 and part 50AE-33, when you buy the zeke metal slide part 50AE-36 gets replaced but is slightly different than the stock one, if you look it has the same grooves for the hop-up cover to rest in, except the grooves are solid on the right side, preventing this little metal nub from part 50AE-33 from sliding into place. So just file out where the picture says and you'll be fine.

Here's pretty much the greatest tool you have when it comes to dissasembling the deagle, it's manual.

In the sunlight, it looks good.
