Pimping my PDW

Ok i have a lil Mpk5 PDW I picked up to use as a sidearm...but thanks to HoJo's ever steady influence (ok...he picked it up and showed it to me) I now have a Glock 26.

So I am wondering.... I would like to put a longer barrel on the PDW...do I need to upgrade right away or is there a barrel length i can go to so not have to upgrade the whole darn thing.

I have a trip to Europe coming up and I need to save some cash. So a full upgrade will have to wait.

Can I mod it a bit before having to reshim, re- piston, re- spring, and re- tappet plate?

whats the limit? has any one ever tried it this before..just looking for some help from the best darn group of bb givers i have ever met.

thanks for all the help in advance.

Deep

Long live the Team with No Name.......and the revolution!!!!

...oh wait thats the next meeting.

(shameless plug for TWNM....baaa)

Depending on how long of a barrel you put in, you may need to get a different cyclinder. (with ports in different places on it)

The length of the barrel does not require a specific upgrade so long as the cylinder matches the barrel.

PDW's! Me love!

There's two that I've had my way with, might get another one down the road. But make it a strict high speed sidearm.

Used to have high speed gears and run a 9.6v in the 2nd one before going psycho on the inner barrel/ect. (In MP5K2, picture with all the spent brass.)

A 100rd midcap on full auto lasted only a couple burst hehe. Has some nice "kick" to it as well.

Want to know about making frankenkurz, then just private message me.

I've run everything from stock barrel to AK47 (455mm) length barrels in them to stock gears, high torque & high speed.
