Real M4 parts onto GR16
Hey all, Judging by how hardcore the people on this forum are and how that greylocks guy will surely yell at me, I hope I can get a few answers before I get yelled by somebody else who takes pleasure in releasing stress into a keyboard.
ANYWAYS. Firstsamco.com makes a lot of sweet parts for armalites and whatnot, So far I have a rail, vert grip and stock saddle from them and it's been great stuff. The gun is riddled with marksman ship problems. The front triangle site is loose, the stock was loose. Basically I'm trying to throw real life variants on there because they seem cheaper and probably much better than airsoft parts. Lately, I've been looking for a rail alternative to my Gr16 for a full rail setup. • NOW AVAILABLE IN ALUMINIUM • 4 sided Picatinny rail system • Metal heatshields dissipate high tempertures producted during sustained rapid fire. • Thermal rubber covers enhance grip and protect rails when not in use. • No gunsmithing required, handguards mounts just like factory handguards. • Rail covers included. It's two piece. and from what I can tell it'll fit the collars just fine. Hopefully the weight of it won't be an issue. Anyway, I think it should fit easily, but I'm running a 9.6 1700 mah nunchuck. I'm concerned it will be too snug and won't go in, and once I buy it I won't be able to tell until its too late. Since the stock is badly cracked from NEVER seeing use I'm going to replace it... http://www.commandarms.com/product.asp?pID=119&cID=57 if that would fit, I would be more than happy. But who knows? Perhaps there's a firearm expert in the room>? Anybody have exerience with such parts? Thanks Last edited by Lord_Jeremiah; November 9th, 2006 at 17:54.. |

the stock should just fit onto your buffer tube.
and you can always get johnnydo to make you a custom battery to fit in anything really. just pm him if thats needed. or you could get a crane stock.

if the stock doesn't fit, I think G&P makes a real stock adapter.
Ask Bruce. He has a real Magpull stock on his M4. maby I missed it, but G&P UFC M4 Buttstock ( Black ) $128 Last edited by Droc; November 9th, 2006 at 21:43.. |

Ok, thanks for the replies guys. The rail I ordered was for AR15 hand grips (There was a difference?) so I had to sand down the extra bumps and fit it on, but it worked out great, the stock saddle is especially nice now that is clicked on and the multi position grip feels great.
I'll look into custom fitting batteries as well, I know of a supplier who gets me these parts for ar15 users in canada and whatnot so it's not difficult. The grip might look a bit wonky: it looks better in person, but regardless I have this innovative cover for it called my hand, so appearance is pretty pointless. thanks for the help. Now onto my hop up screw.... and field stripping this damn thing. |
