TM AK47 w/ Guarder FTK & Guarder Autoback Boltcarrier = spoil in LR?
HI have a TM AK47 which is upgraded with the Guarder FTK, and also Ive installed the Guarder autoback bolt carrier on it.
The spring is rated at SP120, and the problem is my friend, who is a seasoned gunsmith, says tt he fears in the long run something will ultimately break in my AEG as there is alot of stress on the piston and such. His theory is tt if u upgrade A, B will break. If you upgrade A and B, C will break, etc.. Is this true? I dont want my AEG to suddenly die on me and possibly mess up the gear box, will be a big headache and waste of $ to bring in replacement parts. Should I downgrade my spring to a SP100? |

I put a Guarder FTK into my sons TM AK and I also installed the autoback bolt. With the gun shooting over 400fps we managed to crack the guarder metal body from the bolt slamming forward. It was probably just a combination of things but the possibilty is out there for something to break.
Of course there is always the possibility something will break in a stock gun. |

um. cld u specify what u meant by the guarder metal body cracked? Are you refering to the 1) autoback bolt? or 2) TM plastic receiver body?
Thanks for the clarification From what I heard TM stock AEGs if kept stock are the most reliable and can last a lifetime. |

As soon as you start Upgrading your AEG your going to reduce it's lifespan. How much you reduce it will depend on how much you boost the power and how good you are at working with machines. As with cars, computers, and most other things the more preformance you try and push out of something the more stress will be put on the parts.
