threading a barrel for 14mm.

How abouts would i go about threading a barrel on My Xm8. Its the standard 4 split duck bill barrel. Ive seen people tap pipes before, could i do it with this? Id like to be able to keep the end, and thread it, and not have to buy a whole new barrel.

take it to a local machinist, they could tap it for you...(just say it's a paintball marker or a prop of some kind) then you dont have to leave the shop in handcuffs...

If you cant remove the flash hider, there is no sensible way to do it.

well, its really unique, it has no more profile than the barrel itself, just imagine a barrel with 4 slits cut in it.

i think the best way around is cut up to the end of the fixed flash hider then you can bring it to a machinist to put 14mm thread on it
