G&G R8-L target grip

So I bought a Target grip

to go onto my G&G, problem was when I mounted it and used my old motor plate it pushed the motor to far up into the Gearbox to turn it.

question is, do I buy a new motor plate and hope it works, or should I like try too trim it down or something?

any help or Idea's would be kinda nice, cuz something that was supposed to be easy caused me 2 hours of grief
