Rhoping help

So I managed to botch my pre-cut Rhop patch (BB smacked the edge) and am looking to source some bulk tubing so I can start trying to cut my own patches. I've seen a link to an industrial site out of the USA, but shipping from the states murders my bank account.

So to the point, where do you all buy your Rhop tubing from? and as a novice installer does anyone have a link to a good tutorial? (I have watched a number of these, but cant hurt to ask!)

I think you can find the right size in wiper fluid hose from automotive parts supply stores.

No specific's though. In BC you could try Lordco. Update this thread with details.

I tried a few of the "good" do it yourself kits but couldn't get a solid result myself so come spring thaw I need to take another crack at this.

I remember seeing some 6 mm ID by 8 mm OD tubing that was translucent clear silicone on DX.com. I've not tried it myself, but for the $10 Canadian (shipped) for like 10 feet it might be worth a try

I did it to great success. My problem now is in my hop up unit

I did it via no sanding quite easily, it's essential you stick something 6mm in there use a bunch of Allen keys of various sizes to cut your hose to fit perfectly around it, glue it down, trimmed OD with razorbade flush and you're done.

McMaster carr it was an awesome deal.

I got 70A and 50A durability. I definitely saw much better results with 50A tubing. Installed both durability on both of my guns and the 50 was better on both.

I've been debating ordering from them for a while now, how badly did the shipping hurt though? Everything coming into Canada from the USA seems to be 40$ these days.

Cant remember exactly but I think I payed 3 bucks for 5 feet of tubing each and 15 bucks shipping? It's really not bad at all.

I just got some 6mm 100% silicone food grade line on eBay. 5 bucks/meter w/free shipping. Should be enough for a couple of hundred patches. hehehe. As long as it's pure silicone it'll have lots of grip and stay flexible in the cold (the stuff I got is rated to -60C). ID is 6mm, OD 9mm so you have to sand a bit, but whatever...it's art. Besides, better more than less. You can always remove material, but putting some back can be tricky. It's not official McMaster stuff, but it's all about the experiment, right?

Hey gman I might hit you up on that offer next time I'm in the city. I'll pass some onto floreos since I'm in the North Okanagan. Won't be in the city for at least a month or so though.
