Selector plate to bushing/bearing size
Hi folks,
Can anybody explain why only certain selector plates will work with 8mm and 9mm gearboxes? Is there really a difference besides the longer plate often with the metal contacts? I'm interested in putting together either an 8mm or 9mm V3 bearing gearbox, but I keep seeing selector plates that say they're rated for 6mm and 7mm. Some say 6mm to 8mm, but not seem to say 9mm. I know that LCT makes a drop in 9mm gearbox now, but the selector plate they use looks just like the one from the 6mm gearbox. Maybe I just don't see the difference, but could someone please explain? Thanks for your time as always those who can contribute. |

probably the clearance cut for the bearings in the plate.

It is the clearance underneath the selector plate where it goes over a bushing hole. If it is the wrong size, just file it for a minute.
