Metal body for TM p226
Hey guys. I recently have acquired a Tm p226 and was wanting to replace the plastic body with a metal body.
I was looking at the prime SAI p226 body kit for Tm As I know frames are illegal to import into Canada so is there a retailer that can import this for me legally or am I SOL? Also if you have any other recommendations let me know Last edited by ParadigmRift; March 16th, 2015 at 12:24.. |

Metal body for TM p226
Ayup. Of course you read the rules, right, Paradigm? So we'll remind you, no posting links to guns and parts outside of age verified sections.
You'll want to edit your post, removing the link. If the topic is moved, go ahead and put it back in. |

50/50 chance I would say.
Slide will make it in fine, bottom half will most likely not. Some retailers order large orders, and get the stuff hidden within the large crates, aka smuggling - some do other methods, it's a very gray area. If you can get it from the Asia site and they will confirm they will remove their company logo, etc on it, then it should make it in fine. |

Getting even a metal mid-frame for my We HiCapa was a nightmare that I have up on. I was blessed to have DeeJay gift to me a KP05 for Christmas, and its metal midframe opened up a tonne of options for me.

Your best bet is to keep an eye on the for sale section here and get a pre-built one.
Mine was built by ILlusion and he commented it was a pain to get right and he had to fit the parts. So it's not just a matter of swapping the internals to the new frame. You'll be cutting and filing.

so the main problem with ordering a frame is the serial numbers or logo?
Or is the frame just a no-no item to import? |

The frame is a restricted item. No go for personal importation.

Most asia retailers will tape it on request for you, same process they do for most guns that have trade marks.
Example, like this TM HK45 I bought from a retailer, the box and everywhere that had "HK" on it was marked off. I know Ehobby tapes off those beta project PMAG's with the fake shells on the AEG mags. then again, not sure if you want to risk it |

Well I'm not much of a risk taker, so can you nice people recommend me a retailer that I can go through to get a SAI mbk
