king arms parts info needed for a newbie!!

Hi everyone, I jump into M4 style airsoft with a king arms M4. Used obviously!

I want to restore to original condition this rifle. The bolt catch lever is not present on the rifle and the charging handle doesnt work at all (missing a spring I guess.

Also, the safety fire on on semi. This will be a training rifle for me so it must be as realistic as possible. Please, I know there is better realistic M4 but I have to deal with my king arms....

I need to find theses parts but don't know where to look and what to look for!!

Thanks fellows

Pat

The We GBBR M4 is going to be the most realistic affordable M4 training rifle.

And the KWA LM4 would (probably) the most realistic less affordable option

As for parts for your king arms, try checking airsoftparts.ca

split the upper and lowers... look where the charging handle goes inside, see if it's really just missing the spring or if the guy who owned it before crossthreaded the screw and stripped/snapped it off in the hole.

If the screw comes out, all you need is the spring.

If the screw isn't there you'll need to have a new hole drilled and tapped for a new screw to hold the charging handle spring in place.

The safety is part of the gearbox. It could be that the arm inside the gearbox that blocks the trigger isn't functioning, or broken, or the selector plate isn't pushing the safety lever into place properly or your fire selector on the lower is completely stripped.

inspect and replace as necessary.

Many people disable the bolt catch/ charging handle because it is useless on KA M4s. On the bright side, side, someone may have these parts on hand because of that!

For problems with the selector switch, I have noticed that the trigger block, trigger harness, and semi- auto catch on KA M4s are iffy and tend to wear quickly. You can replace these directly with SHS parts.

If you haven't done this work before, I'd suggest getting a reputable gun tech to do it for you.
KA guns aren't the best ever, but they can be great if the right work is done well.

Bonne chance!
