[AEG] Downgrading FPS
Hi!
Sorry if this was said before, but even after searching (here and on google) I wasn't able to find a direct answer (maybe my search skill suck). Anyway, with spring getting closer, I'll start attending my first games and I fear that at some of them my AEG may be a little too powerful. I will be using .25 most probably (as I got 4000 on delivery) but since some places requires less than 400 with .20, I would not want to be toasted (Also my actual budget do not allow me any new gun for a while). AEG: Echo1 Entreprise Arms SOF3 (V3 gearbox) It (should) shoot at 400 FPS from what the manufacturer says, but I would like to make it drop under the 400. I've looked around and found springs I could change but I don't know if; - I need to take into account any form of compatibility So thank you in advance for any helpful answers Have a good day

Nope, any spring should be good since you are downgrading.
If you were going up it would be a lot worse. I'd recommend an M110 John at Airsoftstore.ca has them at fantastic prices |

Without knowing the current power of the AEG, we can't recommend anything. Find a way to get your hands on a chronograph and check the FPS of your rifle.
Any spring advertised for the TM AEG platform will work. Usually, a spring rated M120 would bring you close to 400, but it may go over that depending on your setup. Edit: I type slowly. |

Thank you too,
I know no one that have a chronograph but I'll try to improvise something to test it out.

It also depends on air seal. With a perfect air seal I can get 420 FPS with a M110. Best bet is to get a chronograph, but unless you've worked on your gun a lot a M110 should be fine.

I got my gun tested (at last) and stock I hit around ~370 FPS with 0.25g.
Would a Modify S110 Irregular Pitch bring me under 360 FPS? (Stock spring is M120, gun is Echo1 Enterprise Arms SOF3) Thanks and sorry for reviving this.

That would depend on your air seal. You may want to try m100 first. If your air seal is any good m110 should put you 380+

370 with a .25 sounds to be about a 120 spring.
