Worth upgrading to neo motor?

I currently have a pair of 7.4V 20C 1200mAh lipo batteries for my three AEGs. They work great with my two sub 330 FPS guns, but I'm looking for a tad better trigger response for my 370 FPS gun. Don't want to change batteries, so would a neo motor help? Thinking of a Tinely U30000. Maybe a Lonex, but I hear they require at least 25C. Currently running an EG1000 motor, SP110 spring, homemade MOSFET, and 18:1 standard ratio gears. if a neo motor won't help, I can live with my current setup.

it would definitely help. The marui EG1000 doesn't have a whole heck of a lot of torque, and the tienly motor is faster as well.
also 25C is ambiguous, the rating means nothing by itself
your batteries have 24A max, which is fine for a well tuned neo motor, but after seeing a few lonex motors chew through brushes, I highly recommend the tienly. They are dynamite motors.

Thanks for your input. Would there be a chance of overspin with such a strong motor pulling a relatively mild spring? Or is the small battery going to negate that?

Actually, the neo magnets will greatly reduce cycle overlap by provides significantly more resistance to free-spinning the motor.
You'll get it when you try to spin it by hand lol

Actually, neo motors can contribute to double shooting in semi because they accelerate quickly, whereas ferrite motors haven't reached a very high speed by the time it's cut off. I have a 330 FPS gun that double shoots with a VFC stock neo motor at 25 RPS but does not double shoot with the VFC stock ferrite motor at 23 RPS.

That's a pretty broad generalization when it comes to neo motors. They can either be fast or slow, that is fastER or slowER than ferrite motors. One thing for sure though, they always have more torque. Since I started using neo motors, the only one I've found thats caused any overspin was a G&P M180. If you want a neo motor but are worried about overspin, you're probably pretty safe with a JG Blue.

Do you have cycle runaway with the ferrite motor when you stop shooting in full auto?

Yep. Oddly enough my 36 RPS gun that's shooting 330 FPS with a M90 and is short stroked is not double shooting, it doesn't even have a MOSFET.
