TM HiCapa frame unknown part
Hi
In an attempt to strip the paint of my Hicapa frame (4.3) I discovered a "new" small part I wasn't aware of... (New for me, that is) Long story short, there's a very small plastic insert held by a tiny screw on the opposite site of the safety on the frame; anyone can shed light on what this is? It kinda melted away on contact with the paint stripper (which to my dismay was of no good stripping the paint on the frame, but that's a different story :P) Thanks I can post photos if no one can figure out what I mean |

Are you talking about the right side of the frame where the right side safety would go if the gun had ambi safetys.
I had a TM 4.3. There is a small plastic insert that is held on by a very small screw. This part does not show up in the manuals IIRC. The purpose of this part is to fill the gap on the hi capa frame when the gun comes with a single sided safety. If someone were to say put an ambi safety lever they would have to remove this part. You suppose you could make a new one out of an old credit card if you really needed it to be there. The part you are referring to would go where the safety goes into the grip right.

From what you're saying I think that's the one
It is held by a very small screw with a large flat head Good to know what this is about; it didn't seem to have any purposes from the look of it (and still doesn't :P) Thanks for the insight |

Its only purpose is to cosmetically fill that gap/hole, as well as to seal a debris entry point.

As said before its a placeholder for an ambi-safety

Thanks for all your replies
Ambi safety is in the plans but not right now, I just spent close to 300$ on a slide on a whim :P (Airsoft Master infinity sight tracker for 4.3; not sure exactly about quality and all, but they *look* good, will see for the rest when I get it) |

Hi All, bumping that thread with something else:
I recently bought a new Hammer Set for my HiCapa and it came with and have no idea what it is and where it goes; Here's a photo of the thing: https://app.box.com/s/79kjk3dmlfief9tkz4kt From a very rough estimation of size I'd say the biggest part is about 1/4" in diameter and maybe around 3/4" long ? It's solid, no hole or whatever |

It's the hammer spring guide. The stock TM is plastic. You can replace it with this one if you want. It's the last part you insert in the hammer spring housing, then put the cross-pin in.
