best wood for the job.

Here's a shout out for all you Russian AK 47 nuts out there. I have a kraken that I had started to externally upgrade, so far i have done the body and all I need to pretty much find is a good wood kit for that classic AK look. Would anyone have any suggestions on the different kits available?

Hey man, not sure which kit you ordered, but the Evike ones are pretty decent. If you ordered the 60$ one though, that's just an APS wood kit and will require some fitting for your Kraken.

The 90$USD kits they have though, are specifically designed for the Tokyo Marui design that Krakens are based off of. They might require a tiny bit of fitting, but not as much as the APS kit.

The title was to grab attention to try and get a reply faster. Wow totally forgot about this post I got the $80 real steel wood kit off evoke I had to chisel the bit stock a little to get it to seat properly. I had also swapped the lower reciver to a metal king arms lower I got off ehobby. The only issue I had found was the front hand guard was a touch longer and it broke my gas tube where the screw goes in to keep it in place.
