Metal bodied MP5 SD5. Need specs

Ok, here's the deal guys, I don't play airsoft nor do I even own an airsoft gun. They look pretty cool, might try it out some day but my passion right now is "real steel". Any way, I'm looking for a new firearm project and I figure I need to build an MP5. My plan is to take a metal bodied MP5 SD5 and modify it so that a Ruger 10/22 .22cal semi-auto matic rifle will fit inside. Basically, I'll be using the Airsoft gun as a stock and outer shell. In the end I hope to have a nice little .22cal plinker that looks like an MP5. I picked the SD5 versio as the suppressor and solid stock will keep the minimum overall and barrel lengths legal. I've seen pictures of a Ruger 10/22 stuffed inside an Airsoft G3, so I'm sure an MP5 would work.

Who makes the most sturdy and toughest metal MP5? Most accurate looking? Where is the best place to buy one?

If some one has an MP5, preferably a metal boddied one, would it be too much to ask for pictures of the inside? I assume the Airsoft version splits into two halves, I would like pictures of it split to see if the rifle will even fit inside. If no pictures, some dimensions of the space inside would be great. Thanks in advance.

Doing mods on a real registered gun is one thing. Doing mods with airsoft parts is pushing it a bit...

You're better off buying or manufacturing real gun parts or aftermarket additions. Airsoft's legal status is too fragile for us to recommend this course of action.

What I intent to do it perfectly legal. I am not changing any part of the fire arm, I am merely changing the way it looks with a different stock. You can already buy parts kits that will make a 10/22 look like an AK47 or an MG42. I fail to see how using airsoft bodies is pushing things or how this could possibly affect airsofts legal status.

To a sane person, it's not a big deal, because even without the airsoft parts it'd still be a firearm. But we don't usually have many problems with sane people, it's the other assholes.

It's not that it's impossible to do mechanically, but it opens a HUGE kettle of worms.
Note that many guns have been banned in the past just because of 'looks', and think about it for a while.
Airsoft, again, is already on shaky ground. Using airsoft parts with a real gun may well push it above the low tolerance level. Ok?

Also, I really couldn't see an mp5 body having enough room to hold a .22 or parts thereof, the mechbox is already a bit of a stretch.
