FPS is one of the least important factors when striving for range and accuracy.

Thank you guys. That was the helpful information I was lookin for. I can't afford the TM right now and I'm still trying to find out where I can get a maruzen and how much it will be.

Much appreciated.

Well the AGM/Well's are APS2 clones if you are willing to throw in about $500 worth of Laylax/PDI parts like the trigger boxes, zero triggers, new bolt and cylinders etc it will probably be the most reliable shooting sniper platform. But the metal the china clones are made of are not the best in the world and might not be able to withstand the power of the springs. Hence why you might want to change that stuff out.

I know a bunch of guys who bought a crappy china clone L96 and threw in a bunch of Laylax/PDI stuff and the only thing left of the original gun is the body and the outer barrel/receiver assembly. Everything inside was changed out and it's probably one of the nicest and most accurate shooting rifle I've ever seen on the field. And the damn thing shot just under 380fps and was out shooting 400fps AEG's in range and accuracy.

The way to think about it is that the better quality rifle you buy, the less parts you will need to replace.

For example. on a TM VSR-10. You can keep the triggerbox, replace the sears and still have a sturdy durable triggerbox. You can keep the cylinder, bolt handle, cylinder head and hopup rubber and upgrade everything else and have one hell of a rifle while keeping money in your pocket after upgrading. Sure you pay a bit more on the rifle itself. But you can keep more of the rifle you buy.

Its fine to buy a cheap APS/VSR clone if you intend on replacing everything internally to begin with, but if you plan to budget on a cheap gun, you're not going to get very far... Literally.

I dissagree i got a cheap clone vsr (a tsd) its full laylax. Except the trigger box and the reciver outter barrel and stock. But due to the tolerences on the reciver and stoc it still lacks a lil in consistancy hence ive ordered a tm vsr pro sniper to put the guts i have into ( piston cylender sears hop up jnner barrel spring guide spring) it shoots great most of the time but say 2 or 3 outta ten shots just acts all funny spiraling or hopping to the left or right due to shifting of the rsciver and stock and or the hop uo within the outter barel.
