Tm g17 or hk(we) g17

I have the choice between these two guns, the tm is 280$ before tax but has a TINTED lower plastic frame.
The hk g17 has 100% full real trade marks of the real g17, and will cost 240$ including tax, both guns are brand new.
All help is appreciated thank you
Quattro.

Have you read the reviews in the review section, both brands are covered there. Plus there is a good deal of info on mods what you can and can't do with both brands, I forget what section it is in so just use the ASC search.

Well if your into modding and pimpin the TM is way better since there isn't much out there for customizing the WE G17 yet. The smoked lower of the TM isn't a big deal you can paint or tint it to suit your needs and with the mag in the lower is almost black.

Are you limited to just these two choices or are you willing to order one online? You can get a KWA ATP version 2 off of Revolution Airsoft for $159. It is really a glock 17 without the trademarks. KWA makes solid pistols you won't be disappointed with this one, and it's cheaper than the other two mentioned.

Just a thought.

WELL actually the HK3P is TM compatible. the Gaurder Frame and Slides i am 100% sure fits on the gun since a buddy of mine has a Gaurder original frame and a Gaurder Metal slide on it. internally I'm not too sure but most parts should be compatible. Id go for the HK3P

TM + PGC slide/barrel + 150% recoil spring = really good

I haven't beaten on one hard...but the clear lower frame has worked just fine for me after some decent use.

WE is unreliable. Plus one for the TM one. If your on a budget, plus one for the KWA ATP. If you want something really nice, go with RA-Tech custom G-17.

Would the KWA ATP v2 not be classified as a good buy regardless if you are on a budget or not? Reliable, cheaper mags than most other pistols etc. Just curious!

The KWA ATP exists in kind of limbo.

It's not really anything, and for a lot of people if something is not a faithful reproduction of an actual firearm that's a deal breaker.

It's not as good as the alternatives, but it's worth every penny. Bottom line is that KWA makes a good gun. I'd rate them as the very top of the middle of the market, or the lower of the best. Price wise you can't go wrong. TM in my opinion is still the best (not the clear/smoked ones), but KSC makes a very good gun as well. KSC is just a higher grade KWA to be exact. RA-Tech makes some magic with their custom guns. I believe their G-17 is actually a reinforced, reworked KSC. If your on a budget get the KWA, if not ...get what you want or what's available.

For me, its TM or broke when it comes to GBB pistols. I owned an older WE1911 that literally broke from plinking after just shy of 2 months, possibly even sooner. TM from my experience is more reliable and with huge aftermarket support. I own a hi cappa and a G17 gen3, no issues from stock, a few issues after upgrades and mods. A friend of mine bought a used MEU stock, shoots beautifully.
