Seeking suggestions for a small(short) Bolt Action.
Hey guys.
I've come to realize that my L96 is too large for me. It goes up to my neck when stood next to me which makes crawling and running extremely difficult. If your in the same situation and discover an alternative way to carry your rifle please let me know because I've destroyed my silencer by I jammed it in the ground while running. I'm currently in the market for a shorter sniper rifle(Doesn't really make sense does it?). Consistency is a must for this and it can't be too loud. If anyone got a suggestions feel free to shout it out. Thanks.

the issue is not how long the gun is.. the issue is you don't know how to handle it.. One of the best Snipers I know runs a gun that is literally as long as she is tall.. with no issues no one.. should ever be running around with their muzzle pointed at the ground... this is a common Manual of Arms failure.. if you are moving upright.. gun is high ready or high port.. Long arms used in assault can be tucked in to the hip for quick shots on the move at close range targets..but if you are doing this.. you have pretty much abandoned the sniper role.

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

And just asking to kick stand yourself. As funny as it is to see, I don't wish injury or broken guns on anyone.
Not to mention, that you said "silencer"? Take that bitch off of there. Get an air brake instead if you want to have some silence. Try a two point sling with a shoulder pad, and a pull tighten strap. That way you can shoulder your rifle. If your on the move quickly then carry your rifle at your hip, pointed straight forward. With this, half or a third of your rifle is behind you, and your barrel is straight forward. You can then steer it easy. Or do a proper rifle carry as Brian suggested. Plus one for the TM VSR-10!

Thanks for the feed back.
I currently using a two point sling with shoulder pad. I sling it cross my chest and usually have the strap tight so it doesn't wobble. The problem with that is the barrel stands almost a foot above my head and pushing between tree branch and bushes, the barrel kept getting caught! I really hate putting stress on the barrel because of the thin material used. I'll look into a VSR. I wonder if there is a bullpup bolt action sniper out there.

There is, I think it's called the M82A2 .50. It's a straight bolt, bull pup version of the Barret, and is twice the size of your average type 96 rifle.
You can easily shorten a VSR, but they have a definate "best results" working range.

WA2000 Hard as hell to find DSR-1 Expensive, but still one of the best airsoft guns I have used. I miss mine Just make sure you get a version 2. Not sure if any other bolt actions have been produced. Maybe consider a semi auto bullpup "sniper rifle". |
