Surprised no one has said it yet, but, I hope you live the USA, cause if you live in Canada you can kiss that AEG and your money goodbye. Once that gets to Canada customs and they see what it is, you can exspect a letter from them saying it's been seized and more then likely gonna be destroyed.

Ok at that point I think you need to be mindfull of your advice. Justin (Winter) is moving to Calgary here and there for will be in Canada. Places like Redwolf, EHobby and UNcomany CANNOT get guns over the boarder. They will ship them though and be damned the customer. Not a good start into this sport.
Also on that front the prices of the guns will change due to that fact as well. And Justin, man. I know you want all the guns and gear now we all do. Ok well most the guys I play with lol. And I know it looked like we all had a tonne of stuff when you played with us. How ever you have to realize every one that was in the room there with us including myself has 5-6 years in the sport to get all this. So again the best advice Id give you is keep it simple. ****EDIT**** Also, Justin there are 3 retailers in the city that sell guns. Ken at 007airsoft.com. Shayne at plastic soldier airsoft. DeathsHand(Team) at imperialairsoft.com (Talk to Jester ex PPCLI great guy) Among these three folks you should be more then able to find what you need at a fairly good price and great service.

Well, he asked for an opinion about it and asked where I bought it, I answered. Not living anywhere near Canada or USA makes hard to know their laws, so I just did that, answer as best as possible...

Everyone is gonna have their own opinion on which is a good first starter gun, but if you're looking for a reliable and something you don't have to worry about for awhile, get a stock TM. Get aged verified and check out the classifieds for some really good deals on them.

TM is so 2002. Seriously install a 350-380 fps spring (what most modern brands use) in your TM and it won't last. Now for a BA and some GBBs, it would be good advice (or for their new recoil'ed SOPMOD/SOCOM) but their old models are, well... Old and outdated.
If you have the money... Nice AEGs are VFC, Realsword. G&G canshit are canshit. They full metal line is mid-level... Ain't bad, but ain't the best either. G&P has their flaws but are pretty good. IMHO ARES are great, however they are not 100% compatible with TM-spec upgrades and replacements, so in case of breakage it's harder to fix.

I hope you've read the stickies, FAQs, done a search, etc.
Short answer: Get age verified and check the classifieds. Not so short answer: Theres only a handful of stores in Canada and most of them advertise here. |
