I never got shot or directly shot someone with my xm204hps, the largest Madbull CO2 grenade. My personnal and unofficial MED was 50 feet.
I'm pretty sure that point blank they'd fuck up your day. |

I use 400-500psi for closer range engagements, and urban engagements.
I run up to 800 on outdoor games and I give the target the chance to opt for mercy at closer ranges. Im running the XM108 cherries.

In doors? Well if you think its useful and worth the bulk/weight, I couldn't feel good recomending anything more than 400psi. Maybe in a large venue a higher psi may be warranted. In all honesty though my favorite rule for guys who like those kinda things is 'let me shoot you with it'. If the answere is no than I got no reason to let him shoot me with it!

for indoors, no more than 400psi with CO2. typically, we'll run propane levels or propane.
even at 400psi, we are always aware that it can hurt someone more than the tango wants to endure. I took one recently at close range, outdoors, and it hurt. the kid's lucky he was below us on a hill and it got me in the thigh. he could have knocked off our goggles if we were facing him and if he tried to aim for center mass. |
